Nice experience with your Ritz so far !! I do own a Ritz which completed 1-1/2 years and 16000km so far. One thing I did not like in Ritz is the useless tyres(JK tornado) which make lot of noise and Tyre section would have been 185 instead of 165 to have more grip on road and less body roll. What stock tyres you have, can you post some recent pics of your car and tyres.

I have the same as yours, though they are noisy with bulges but they still can go more for another 5-6K kms, I am going to change them anyway after 5-6k kms irrespective of the wear or tread conditions. I think 80k kms on stock tyres is again too good for these infamous tyres. I will try to put up some pictures for everyone tomorrow.

Have you decided any brand in mind for next set of tyres. How about alloys

@Fusion : Nice & informative review.
I think your car is about to complete 3.5 yrs & @80k kms rt?
Can you post service cost & kms details after 6th service? Also details of any other parts replaced etc etc. That will make it a complete long term review. This will really help others while making decision. Ritz is really cheap to maintain but i think service costs after 40k kms do matter.

3.5yrs and 75k kms.

During the first six months both rear wheel bearings were replaced under warranty.

Other than that please my read my thread http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/f...7-issues-my-maruti-ritz-vdi-4.html#post220808

Right now all i can say is that its a VFM hatch and am happy to own it.

Nice to know this that Ritz is VFM, because I cannot endorse this as I just finished 16000 km and 1-1/2 years so far, but if you ask me what is my experience till now, touch wood, piece of mind and sound sleep[:)] with cheapest maintenance cost of some 7000/- so far. and a consistent FE of 18+ in city with A/C all the time and 22-23 kmpl on highway with below 100 kmph speed and with complete A/C driving[:)]

Please ask mod to change the thread name to 75k+ instead of 35k+ !!

Thanks I will consider this, how much on the pocket for a set of 4? if i leave apart the tyre noise I can even replace them with the tornados again i felt no issues with them on the overall ride quality. Though it had bulges and everything but never caused any problems on the driveablity side.

For now this is the recent tyre condition. picture for front right hand side and rear right and side, left hand side was almost identical so didnt take any picture for those.

Tread seems to be good even now !![surprise], where is the bulge, it is not seen anywhere and tyres look to be perfect for another 10k[:)]

U bet they are good, but i am considering to throw them away as there might be "something hidden" which is not showing up on the treads.

The bulges can be hardly caputred on a cam, they can only be felt([clap])

Fusion, May be something is hidden, I am not an expert on this[cry] I can only say based on visual appearance. I think it is better to meet a tyre specialist and ask him about this and take a call

Bought bridgstone shoes for the lady with same specs as the original JK tornado.Got it for 3500Rs a pair, planning to do rear pair next month, due to diwali and other lined up expenses :)

Ride quality: Full marks (will still improve when i change the rear end as well)
Fuel Econ: marginally improved
Road noise: same as jk stock.

Next month front tyres go rear and new tyres on front.

1. Have you bought the same JK tornados again ?? if so road noise will be the same. You could have gone for Michelin/BS/Yoko. Also you could have gone for 185 sections[cry]

2. What is this price Rs.3500/- a pair means two tyres for Rs.3500/-[surprise]

Little OT, please change your location to Pune. There are two reasons for it, 1) most of the times I was misread it as Vapi 2) when we are planning for a inter region meet and send out the invitations if it is not Pune, then it will not show you as member from Pune[:)] This is only a suggestion
