Due to poor political condition and labor problems companies losing interest in India. HMSI threatening to close down two wheeler production in India following 3rd labor poblem since 2005 causing them to cut down production to less than 50%.

Honda threatens to take 2-wheeler plant out of India

Since labor problem is prevailing in Gurgaon, there are chances of even Maruti getting affected.

Second example is MRF not making tyres for the last three months, reason being labor problems. Yesterday I was out looking for tyres for my friend's Pulsar 150 and not even a single 110 or 120 width wheel available and ever the superstockist was out of stock. At last we got a 120 width from a small shop, but old stuff.

Dunlop closed 6 months back.

Pricol closed Chennai operation.

And the saga continues.[anger]

India is definitely developing.

Another strike at Honda 2 wheelers? Very bad. With political parties backing all the trade unions for getting their support, this is what can be expected.

Hyundai in Chennai, Pricol in Coimbatore are the known examples to me. Pricol being the worst with labors killing a Human Resource officer.

CTC for the guys in production floor is 25k. That means he should be getting 10k minimum salary. Ain't that enough for a person to do a single task in 8 hours???? Why do they want hike???? Simply unnecessary.

Yes!

This is really a pathetic situation for India!

Labours claim that when ever they strike, they get hike, But they really dont think about India's growth & how it affects our GDP & GDI [frustration]

We have now become habitual of such strikes. Few Months back Mahindra's Plant was closed and some stories which deville has shared.
As Arun said, Its all the matter of TIME, Also Thanks to the recession which has helped most in creating these stories every other day.

Do you really think these guys are logical? These issues are politically motivated. If you dig in, there will be one or two local politicians for whom or for the party interest, all this mess has started.

These guys are forgetting the fact that China & other Asian countries are in search for new international investments. They will offer cheap labor too. We are still not learning from mistakes.

Who cares about the nation? All they care is their own benefits. But they are unaware about the fact that if they continue this, then one day there won't be any industry at all. Unemployment will be more. Then these people will be scratching their heads.
