Fresh from the owen Mukesh. Very well maintained I must say. Any plans to throw few accessories here and there?

Happy Scorping!
Nah not now G2. Have planned to replace all the bushes as a preventive measure of the suspension.
Thanks.
Your beast is looking great and you have indeed maintained it very well.

And the wax treatment has done a perfect job buddy.
Thanks Singh.[:)]

Re: Mahindra Scorpio VLX Mist Silver - 55,555 Kms and Counting

Guys my hawk has been dropped for 55,000 kms service schedule.

Issues facing:
  1. Gear slotting from 2-3 and 3-2 gives a kat sound, during cold start.
  2. Touch up near wheel arches for rusting, thanks to the recent muddy trip.
  3. Closing and opening the door with gravel smeared arches led to rusting.
Cost Estimated: 4000 - 4500/-

Have also asked to check the bushes of suspension, esp rear.

Which was never looked upon till now, and were no issues till now.

The bushes cost can add additionally to the above mentioned amount.

So expecting a bill around 6,000/-

And hawk has clocked 55,555 kms in 5th Year.

Re: Mahindra Scorpio VLX Mist Silver - 55,555 Kms and Counting

Last Saturday, had some spare time after a visit to Goa previous week via Jog.

And it was scheduled update of 55,000 kms after a long gap of 7 months.

Yes the running has been less, thanks to office work and Bangalore traffic.

Using 2 wheeler a lot, these days.

So when its long drive hawk comes to rescue.

55,000 kms Service Update:
56,191 kms on ODO.
1-009.jpg

The service was scheduled with Chrome Motors- Mysore Road, with SA Kiran.

The hawk was all muddy, that the SA first sent the vehicle to complete wash, then started working on the car.

1.Hawks gear oil was changed, and now gear shifts smoothly(Issue esp in cold start)

2.Also rust near wheel arches was painted.

It was just a line of rust, took a preventive measure and got the touch up done on both wheel arches.

They moved the car to paint booth and carried out the work dust free.

The rear drums had black slush kind of deposits of Asbestos.

Which was taken care off.

AC gas is still there but needs topup during the next visit, they didn't feel it was needed as of now.

Though some indication like hissing noise when turning on the knob was diagonised.

Really impressed with their work.

Yes the rates of labour have gone up to 500/- from earlier 2600/-

Latest Rate Charges

Bill came around 6100/- bushes were said to be fine.

All the coil springs were lubricated and, suspension bolts re-torqued while spraying rust off.

The bushes can go for another 10,000 kms as per SA.

Next service tips, AC gas top-up, Rear Suspension bushes, along with engine belt.

Tyres can do another 25,000 kms as per SA.

Happy to hear that you completed another long trip [clap]

Hi Appu, just noticed your post. Sorry for delayed reply.

This route is a SH which is called as escape route, while coming from Canara Engineering College(Near Mangalore) to B.C.Road.

Good going Mukesh,

Seems your running has slowed down a bit. [sleep]
Yeah ilango as said, now long trips can be planned after retaining Comp-off's and monthly leaves.
So the running has come down.

Re: Mahindra Scorpio VLX Mist Silver - 55,555 Kms and Counting

Just a short update of how i removed torn TAI sticker.
Which was very difficult to remove.

My finger nails have worked over time to remove them.

Partner of the day, Turtle wax Sticker Remover... From USA.

I was really worried of the torn sticker that was not parting away from the body of hawk.

How this works.

Just spray allow on the surface for 1 min and the sticker should be easy to remove.

But in my case the letters of TAI just wiped in the first instance.

Then i did a plan of just removing a part of sticker then spraying the liquid.

Finally after 1 hour 15 mins the sticker parted away.

Just in time before catching F1.

The Problem. 1 Year Old Sticker

My suggestion to all TAIn's replace your sticker every six months.

And suggestion to TAI is to source from the vendor with good quality stickers that are non sticky when trying to remove.

Just an update after Ayudha Puja.

The detailing took cool 1 and half hours.

A few turtle products helped a lot for today's detailing from USA.

Yes i infact noticed it other day, when you had posted the pic about leakage in engine bay.

The accelerator throttle is vetical on my hawk where as its horizontal in your case.

And the part which i saw as rusted, is of same colour in mine too.

Are those detailing products available locally..

Yesterday I saw a Scorpio in 7 seater configuration with captain seats in the middle row. There was no leg space at all. But in your pic's it seems to have enough leg space.

Varun most of the detailing products available here, are from Sonax and Formula one.

Meguiars are also available.

Turtle wax is what i could found, but not the others.

These detailing products in US is very cheap and good quality.

All are within 5 to 6 $, Only one product was a combination of 3 pack.
Tyre Shine, UV Protectant and Spraying Carnauba wax all within 10 $.

The only reason we went for side facing is it can accommodate more luggage, and more people can travel together.

Its light weight efficient, reaches every nook and corner of your cars interiors.

I am yet to use the car Shampoo of Armor all.
