Today had a short spin to Tumkur and Devarayanadurga.

Totally clocked 261 kms in a day.

Nothing much to update.

Getting ready for 50,000 kms service shortly, and due for engine oil change, which was done after the previous year end Kanyakumari trip.

Nice pics as always.Waiting for your 50k service report. I did it last week and costed around 6.5k.Don't have more details of it at present.I will be able to update it next week once i am in India.

Nice pictures as always. Can you put up a snap of the RPM meter when the engine is running at idle?

Hey guys my Hawk has clocked 50k kms+, had booked an appointment a week ago.

After my Mangalore drive via Coorg the Hawk was all muddy.

Have dropped the vehicle at Chrome Motors, Mysore Road for service.

Estimate for 50000 kms.
Service -2700/-
Engine oil-1900 + oil filter 410/-

75 point checkup (No wash included).

Wash 450/-.

Told SA Shwetha to strike off Engine Decarbonising-1541/-
Then Engine Oil Additives 450/- + Engine oil flushing-625/-

Total 5460/-

My usual SA Kiran was not there, which i would have complete peace of mind.

Hey guys my Hawk went for a 50 K service today @ Chrome Motors Mysore Road.

It has clocked 50,500 kms as of today.

Nothing to complain, everything is working the way it should.

Here is a self explanatory breakup.

One incident the new SA had added Engine oil additive, which i politely refused.
So paid 6075/- but actual credit note of 436+ taxes will be waived off during next visit.

Actual Bill: 5639/-

Can extract another 20K kms from the tyre, as per tyre analyst from Bridgestone.
He told me the tyres are well maintained, as usual tyre rotation was done at no extra cost, with free nitrogen topup

Wonderful & Detailed ownership review

the more and more i read through Mahindra Product ownership reviews nowdays, the more i am convinced that M&M has really got Tata Motors beater products (UVs / SUVs)

UVs if at all Tata is still in reckoning, will all be lost in few years... phew

Tata Motors might soon become a Niche Passenger car company with some Taxi image low end products like Indica / Vista sisters and some niche UVs like Safari Storme

Anyway - M&M is beating TML hands down in every department..

PS - I have a wonderful and faithful Indica XETA from 6 yrs back..But it is a long period in todays automotive scenario, where new products and newer segments are getting created and challenged every month

Told the new SA to remove all the cosmetics.
I had told her clearly no additives and infact it was striked out in job card.

As I follow 10k interval oil change.
But that was added in the bill, which I politely refused.

Got 10% discount on labour and 5% on spares.
Yes wash was charged as the SA gives lame excuse of M&M not including it in the 75 point checkup camp.
Some how the condition of mud on hawk during Mangalore-Coorg-Bangalore trip recovered the washing charges.

But this time cleaning of glass was not tha great which otherwise with SA Kiran is good at such things.

Because engine is smooth and no smoke from the exhaust.
And it's not at all recommended in the manual.

As I follow I 10k kms oil change interval didn't go for those things.
Such things will be in need only when car reaches 1Lac kms and above till then based on usage pattern of my car I go for early engine oil change.
