I spent a few days with the Alturas and literally tested it through everything. I honestly, loved it. The interiors are the best in the segment but dynamics could be better. Still its a very comfortable alternative to the Endy or Fortuner.

Mahindra Alturas G4 has received a variant called 2WD High. It sits below the existing 4WD variant, which was previously the sole trim on offer. While the 4WD variant is currently priced at Rs 31.88 lakh (ex-showroom), the new 2WD variant will set you back by Rs 30.68 lakh (ex-showroom). In comparison to the 4WD variant, the Mahindra Alturas G4 2WD High variant doesn't get a four-wheel-drive system. Due to this change, the pricing of the Alturas G4 2WD has witnessed a reduction of Rs 1.20 lakh.

Some of the key features of this trim include HID headlamps, LED DRLs, LED fog lights with cornering function, LED tail lights, tinted glass, 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 360-degree camera, ventilated seats, ambient lighting, electrically adjustable driver seat with memory function, nine airbags, TPMS, cruise control, and an electric sunroof.

At the heart of the car continues to sit the same 2.2-litre diesel engine which has been rated to churn out 178bhp of maximum power and 420Nm of peak torque. For the transmission duties, the engine comes exclusively paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission.
