M&M Scorpio Pickup Spotted Testing

Scorpio is coming up with Scorpio pick-up (truck) version which will have its 2.2 mhawk engine. It will be meant for international markets though for the moment. It will come in 2 door & 4 door versions. One can see these scorpio pick ups 2.2 mhawk doing the rounds near Chakan, that too without any cover.
Btw, it has only 1 reverse light.

Oh, you mean it is used as towing vehicle ??Btw, is it the same gateway which is there in India ?

Yup they are meant for such heavy duty works.

In India, still there are 2.6 Crde engines, which are BS3 versions, which cannot be sold anymore in tier 1 cities, are being sold at other cities or rural areas, with all new headlamp designs.

Hey,but the 2.6 CRDe engine pulls better than the 2.2 MHawk.Why?Because the 2.6 CRDe has a more linear torque curve as compared to the 2.2 whose torque curve is quite steep at some points.
This is the reason why 2.2 was simply ruled out for the Thar(it would have costed more too)as in 2.2 when the revs go above 2k,then the engine gives a sudden tsunami of power which can result in loss of traction in low grip surfaces,while there is nothing like this with 2.6 CRDe.So for heavy duty works,CRDe is still better.Its not me who says this,but M&M does.
