Lotus Cars Limited, the legendary British automotive marque, has decided to enter the Indian automotive market. The company has reportedly partnered with Exclusive Motors to setup its first dealership in New Delhi.
  • First two products to made available in India will be the Lotus Emira sports car and the Lotus Eletre SUV.
  • Lotus Emira mid-engineered sports car is the last petrol-powered car from Lotus. It is offered with an option of 2.0L (365 BHP) and the 3.5L (406 BHP) engines sourced from AMG and Toyota respectively.
  • On the other hand, Lotus Eletre is the first-ever SUV manufactured by Lotus. It is a fully-electric vehicle that delivers 592 BHP (918 BHP on the R version) and has a range of 600 kilometers on single charge.
  • Though the exact timeline isn’t known, the Lotus Cars should be available in India sometime in 2024. Expect the prices to start from ₹2.5 crores onwards. (Source: Link)
