Lamborghini India confirmed the launch of the latest Huracan Tecnica V10 is slated for August 25, 2022. The Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica slots between the Lamborghini Huracan RWD and the Lamborghini Huracan STO, offering the best of both. The Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica is developed for use on the road and being thrown around on the racetrack. You can read Siddharth’s detailed review of the Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica here. The car features the last of the naturally aspirated V10 engine from Lamborghini with its own bespoke design changes that look partially derived from the Lamborghini Sian for improved aero over the standard RWD Huracan.

The Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica features the same 5.2-litre V10 naturally aspirated engine from the Lamborghini Huracan STO but develops 640 bhp @8,000 rpm a maximum torque of 565 Nm @6,500 rpm with power going to the rear wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. In terms of performance, Lamborghini claims a 3.2 second 0-100 kmph sprint time for the Huracan Tecnica with a top speed of 325 kmph. To support this, Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica gets its own LDVI system to bring out different characteristics of the car with rear-wheel steering offered as a standard fitment. The Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica also gets its own unique suspension set-up along with a modified traction control system that allows you to break traction at the rear in select modes.

The design is also quite unique as certain elements are introduced for the first time. The Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica is also 61 mm longer than its sibling and gets its unique bumper with air curtains and a new front splitter to help improve aero and direct air to the brakes to improve cooling. Lamborghini says that the rear window is also larger than on other Huracans to improve visibility while the engine cover receives a unique carbon fibre cover to save weight. The rear bumper too is new and features redesigned vents for improved engine cooling along with a new hexagonal exhaust. Rounding up the looks are 20-inch Damiso alloy wheels.

Lamborghini says that the upcoming Huracan Tecnica gets a redesigned HMI interface specifically for the model with a digital instrument display panel and a central touchscreen that puts the “fun-to-drive” elements such as the LDVI functions in easy reach of the driver. Lamborghini also offers its buyers the option to choose between lightweight door design and harness seat belts.

Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica launched in India

Lamborghini has launched the Huracan Tecnica, the latest iteration of its V10 supercar in India, with prices starting at ₹4.04 crore (ex-showroom). The Tecnica sits between the Evo and STO in the Huracan line-up, offering a blend between the road-biased intentions of the former, and the track focus of the latter. It gets the engine from the STO, along with a chassis that is more suited to the road, tweaked aerodynamics and differentiated styling from both models.

The Huracan Tecnica shares the same mechanical underpinnings as the STO – a 640hp, 5.2-litre, naturally aspirated V10 engine that sends power to the rear wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Lamborghini has also equipped the Huracan Tecnica with rear-wheel steering and carbon ceramic brakes as standard. In terms of outright performance, it can achieve a top speed of 325kph, and can accelerate from 0-100kph in a claimed 3.2sec and 200kph in 9.1sec.

The Tecnica gets a double wishbone fully independent suspension, with spring rates and dampers designed specifically for the Tecnica’s middle-of-the-road approach. There’s rear-wheel steer as standard and the steering adjusts itself depending on the drive modes the car is in. In terms of the braking set up, the Tecnica gets carbon ceramics as standard.

There are plenty of electronics to help extract the most from this car — the LDVI, or Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integra) is essentially the car’s brain that understands what the car is doing dynamically and sets it up to provide the most engaging driving experience. It also has drive modes that affect both the drivetrain and chassis — Strada for relaxed road use, Sport for more exciting on-road performance and handling and Corsa that makes both the drivetrain and chassis as sharp as possible. The torque vectoring and traction control systems allow for the maximum lateral grip in this drive mode, allowing you to set those lap times you want.
