KTM, the joint-venture partner of Bajaj, has confirmed that it’s expecting to retail the Bajaj Chetak Electric Scooter in European markets from early-2024 (Source: Link).

- KTM is also aiming to become the world’s number-one premium motorbike brand.
- The Chetak is an iconic brand in India which was first introduced in 1972 and discontinued in 2006.
- Bajaj decided to revive the model in 2019 in an electric avatar. Over 24,000 units of Bajaj Chetak have been sold since then.
- Bajaj Chetak Electric is priced at ₹1,51,958 (Ex.showroom, Delhi). It’s powered by a 3kWh lithium-ion battery pack with a peak power and torque of 4kW and 16 Nm respectively.
- There are two modes on offer: Eco and Sport. The claimed range is 90+ Kms. It can be charged using the built-in charger which is located under the seat and plugged into a 5-ampere outlet.
