My brother said that the price is expected to be 2.75 lacs, ex-showroom. That's a big amount of money for a 250cc. I doubt its success.

Will be a success regardless of the price. There is this huge gap between 220cc(highest in Indian bike till date) & 1000/1300cc's.(Which are legally available in India). The Harley Davidson is coming up with their bike range starting from 7lakhs next year. This gap is perfectly filled by the Baby NINJA.
Dint mention the 600cc's because 99% of them are illegal. No bikes having engine capacity below 800cc are allowed legally in India,it is reserved for the Indian manufacturers.Don't know when will they come up with something like 800cc.

Eg - We never thought the r15 with such small engine, tiny rear tubes, highest pricing in the segment, etc would be such a huge success.
Ya the sales will be a bit low but as soon as bajaj starts localizing some parts of the bike there will be a drop in price.

Why there are lots of confusion?
I recently heard that bikes with less than 800cc can't be imported. So Ninja could be a CKD.
Yes you have heard the right thing. But ninja isn't the first 250cc bike to come in India.Comet was the first 250cc bike to come in India better known as Housang comet.

Yes looking at the price these people have quoted the bike must have been imported as a CKD.

Ninja coming on 5th october...........
Bajaj Auto will launch the most awaited Kawasaki Ninja 250 on 5th October in India. This superbike costing around Rs. 1.5 – 2 lakh will hit the Indian markets. “The bookings would start just ahead of Diwali and the deliveries would happen immediately,” Bajaj Auto MD Rajiv Bajaj stated. He added that a new version of Pulsar would also be launched within three months. The new Kawasaki Ninja is powered by 250cc engine and churns out 30PS of max power and a peak torque of 21Nm.

Bajaj Auto had seen a sharp decline in sales number in the last financial year, and seems now to be turning the tables at a faster rate. "We are experiencing production shortage in case of Discover and Pulsar motorbikes as the sales of these two models are jointly expected to hit 1,30,000 mark this month. Also, the availability of the tyres for these vehicles is under pressure. This has resulted into certain waiting period for these two models," said Ravi Bajaj.

Bajaj also intends to launch three new models including three-wheeler and passenger vehicle segment. It launched RE600 cargo vehicle meant for intra-city goods transport priced at Rs 1.03 lakh (ex-showroom Pune)

It will be a Rocket to ride during this Diwali!!

People who've bought it earlier(imported it) can now heave a sigh of relief as they'll get genuine spares.
