Ineffective Cooling from Car Air-Conditioner. Solutions?

Okay guys

I am not sure if you guys are aware of the fact that Some cars have CABIN FILTER that actually acts as a net to take the dirt off the car's aircon vents.

Please make sure you clean them , if there is not any make sure you open the Fan box and see if rats are living there

But here, many cars are not fitted with cabin filters..

Here in Alto there is no cabin filter..

Also make sure that Radiator mesh is cleaned(Not internally)with a jet of water, that ensures the air flow through it.

This ensures that AC is cooling faster, as there is free flow of air through it.

So cooling is happening, but not effective.. IMO, following could be the reason/s

• Less gas in the system.
• Any leakage in system leading to shortage of gas.
• As mentioned above, filter clogged.

There's one more reason, as told to me at Maruti service station few years back.
They say that after a long journey with ac on, if we stop ac suddenly, condensation accumulates in air passage. And when ac is retsarted, cooling is not effective. So I was advised that when I reach destination, switch off ac and keep blower running for 1-2 minutes. This does not allow condensation to settle in the airways.
But at present, best option is to let Hyundai ASS guys rectify it. Let this be the priority job after your exams get over.

If cool air comes to the blower and still the A/c not effective\not feeling for passengers, then may be 2 simple reasons. pls confirm

1. Cabin not closed properly . i e hot air may be entering through the holes in between engine bay and cabin or through panels
2. there may be no cool film or it is not effective. In the present scenerio, we all need to remove cool film

in my 800 A/c working fine, but my back seat passengers complin that it is not effective there, As the car is already 12 yrs old, i am not checking it more

Here in i10, it may be technical issue, dont know much about that
in Alto, this may be the reason

ac of hyundai cars i10 & i20 is not very effective

Filled Gas AC thought there is not more than 10% less already, payed 300 for the gas. Cooling is still less

did you cheq ac condenser.some time dirt and muck can clog ac condenser or check condenser fins if bend can make effect on ac cooling
