Here is is my current setup :
Cruze comes with 4 in built head unit and 4 speakers on 4 doors.
I had fitted a pair of 300W speakers (JBL 948) in 2010.

Now I want to upgrade with a pair of 600W Pioneer speakers, since JBL don't have any 600W options.

And I want to put one sub woofer as well. Which one do you suggest?
Also which ampflier?
2 or 4 channel?
How much total power output?

I have seen a JBL sub woofer 1150W.
So total power consumption is 1750W?
So which amplifier will drive both?

I will let the door speakers to stay as it is. Will it also handle the 600W speakers or I need to connect those speakers to the amplifier as well?

JBL 948 is 100W RMS and 400W Peak and will perform a lot better than Pioneer 600W producing 80W RMS.[:)]

Do you have 4 door speakers and jbl 948 connected your headunit?

And I want to put one sub woofer as well. Which one do you suggest?
Also which ampflier?
A JBL Subwoofer and a Sony 2-Channel amp will be fine.
What is your budget?

I have seen a JBL sub woofer 1150W.
See THIS one.
It RMS is 275W and peak power is 1100,So you have to get an amplifier producing less than 275W RMS. RMS is the power factor,Leave the peak power ratings.

Anyone can correct me if i am wrong,I am a beginner,so expecting senior's help.:)

No.Suppose the JBL 948 needs 100W RMS and Sub is 275W RMS.
Here you can use a 4 Channel amp for driving both sub and speakers. From the 4 channel,2 CH will be bridged to the sub and the remaining 2 Ch will go to Speakers.

I will let the door speakers to stay as it is. Will it also handle the 600W speakers or I need to connect those speakers to the amplifier as well?
IMO connect the door speakers to stock HU. Get an Amp to drive the sub and Rear JBL Oval Speakers.

I cant be more thankful to you! You have just cleared whole of my doubt.

Well, here is a question, if I just get a 2 channel amplifier, who RMS handling is 275 or less , then it will drive the SUB , right ?

So, the 948 and door speakers stay connected to the stock HU, as it is ?

Someone told me that, I should get a 4 channel amp and connect the rear 948 to 2 channels, or the speakers wont perform well with the sub, as the sub is driven by an amp.

Is it so ?

If you are on a tight budget then go for the above option else you can go in for a mono-block for the woofer and a 4 channel amplifier for the speakers. You will be more than happy with this! [;)]

How does a component change experience rather than the current door speakers ?

Arey they something special ?

Someone suggested me to get a component system for the door speakers.

Components usually sound better and can handle more power. It separates the mid range sound and tweeter sound and usually uses a better crossover (so the low notes don't try to go to the tweeters and vice versa). For best results you can connect a 2 channel amplifier to the components.

I chose this one for SUB : INFINITY REF1260W

Will this amplifier drive it , JBL GT-X646 ?

And speakers will be this, JBL GTO-949

So, can this amplfier drive both this sub and speakers together well ?
Yes i think it will give a decent output.
For best results connect the woofer to a mono channel amplifier and the speakers to a 4 channel amplifier ( 4 speakers) or a 2 channel amplifier ( 2 speakers).
