I am a little late to wish you but nevetheless congratulations on the car as well as for the baby.
Really envy you for taking such a decision of upgrading to a safer option even though it would financially burden you in short term, see it as an investment in safety of your family.
Being a parent really opens our eyes, I am no parent but due to my nephew [5 months old now] I could experience the responsibity.
Dont worry about bad dealership experiences,we only need to visit them like once in a year.
PS. Please make sure your wife and kid sits in the back seat. And enjoy your new ride.

Re: My New 2014 Hyundai verna CRDI SX(O) AT Ownership Review

Hi Guys,

Advaith Hyundai Dealership experience:

Rating:
Customer Interaction and Importance: 2/10
Technical expertise: 1/10
Delievery: 0/10.

MADAN
I’m sharing the same experience with these guys.

I had booked a 1.6 SX VTVT (White) in the first week of May. Almost after a week the sales agent shared the 17 characters of the VIN number, but he was reluctant to provide the last two characters. Only after visiting the stockyard, I found that it was a February made (*B). And this agent had the guts of telling me that he didn’t know how to read the 19th character of the VIN number. The other Vernas in the stockyard were of April, mostly.

I waited for another week, and now they’re offering a March vehicle. They had promised for a May unit last week (as they were going to get a new vehicle from Chennai). So many other things have happened in the mean time. I am going to cancel the booking tomorrow. Good thing is that I had given only 5000 as a booking amount.

Never, ever, visit Advaith Hyundai, Residency Road, Bangalore.

Hi alan ,

I had worst experience with Advaith Hyundai. Even now after 20days after delivery, I am still waiting for 5000Rs cash back, which they promised me that they will credit it to my account. Honestly a good decision. You can try trident or Lakshmi Hyundai atleast they treat customers better.

Also can you tell me how to find the last two characters in the car? I don't know where to find it.

Re: My New 2014 Hyundai verna CRDI SX(O) AT Ownership Review

Thanks you all for your wishes. We need to do something to bring the awareness of safety first in the customers buying cars. Buying a car is something like a one time investment and a bringing a new member in the family , we need to do start creating this awareness. Any ideas friends , how we can start?

They have agreed to transfer 5000 (the booking amount w/o any cancellation charges). Haven't told them yet that I have recorded all our phone conversations. Should help to get the money back.

I have booked at Trident.

You can read the entire VIN number plus the last two characters below the driver seat.

Thanks for the tip for VIN number. And, i am just curious to know, why not considering CRDI verna? instead of petrol.

The ROI period on diesel will be around 5 years based on my daily usage. Moreover, government subsidies on diesel might be removed gradually in future (unless the new government works against this). Hence, a petrol car. :)

Btw, have you been facing any suspension issues?

I have opted for the leather for door pads, steering wheel, arm rest and hand brake and the seat covers are PU. The guys were workers for stanley and their work was amazing and perfect [clap]

Those DRLs , angel eyes looks great [thumbsup] seat covers are really good however that steering wheel looks a bit odd in that color. Just my opinion.

How much that angel eyes costed you ?

Hello cedricr, welcome to TAI.
You can start your own ownership thread and update us with your experiences.
Those lights look quite bright. Can you share a few more pics with details regarding the specifications and cost?
Upholstery finish is excellent. As allhyundaicars pointed out, the steering looks a bit different. I guess that's because we are used to the stock black color.

Hi all,

Sorry for the late reply. went to venice for the weekend [:D]. About the DRLs will put some more pics and specifications soon. it costed me 28000 INR wanted to change the Tail light. they were telling a whopping 18000 for the tail light assembly looked same as that of merc.opted to change it later [;)].had also fitted stainless steel chrome coated window frame, chrome door handles, chrome side beading skirt, Chrome Radiator grill trim moulding. will update the pics soon as soon as i reach INDIA.

Yeah i also thought the steering wheel look a bit odd in that colour before..but now i kinda like it. i told the guy for the black leather. he suggested this colour as same as that the seat cover and i remember what the guy told me " it will be a variety sir "[lol]
