Re: Hyundai Verna Fluidic SX (O) Experience

Hi Nick,
Very well writen review. I too am going through the same ordeal of waiting for the delivery. Its been a week since I made the full payment but no news till now. Hopefully we will have our cars during the Navratra time.

Regarding the additions to the car, do share
Tyres: What deal did you get?
Sound: Did you change all the speakers or pnly front/back. What’s the response now?
Horn Change: I had read in one of the forums here that we can just add a new horn without taking off the bumper. The trick is to leave the original horn at its place and just use the wires in the new horn placed at a different location.
Another addition I am planning is Gear lock. No where have I read anyone mention it. Any feed back as too it should be added or not?
Hoping to see your beauty soon .. Cheers!!!

Re: Hyundai Verna Fluidic SX (O) Experience

regarding speakers i will know once i get my car and add in a amp.
tires yokohama adrives r1 6840 and sdrives are for 8250 without discount
adrives have performance and comfort while sdrives are purely performance oriented
dealer is offering 3000 for the bridgestones cant go more then this as it will be dead stock with him for a while.
regarding the horn please be aware that cutting wires can void electrical warranty instead see try at least to disconnect the wire from the oe horn il be taking the delivery on monday evening and after i get it registered on tuesday will get the stuff added

about gear lock do you really need it? the car has an immobilizer. Ask your dealership if they can add this for you i have no experience on these
i had made full payment a month back and after daily visits and being very stubborn i got my vin and engine number, or else i would have got it somewhere in oct. i found out that 10 days of me making a full payment a bank was taking delivery of the exact same variant and color as i choose but they booked it 8 days before having the delivery

Hi Andre,

Thanks for sharing the information. Its really sad that such good car and equally bad dealership. Is the management at Hyundai not aware or is this thing encouraged... am not sure. Its really disheartning to see such favourism.

Re: Hyundai Verna Fluidic SX (O) Experience

well the vernas are selling like hot cakes and these dealerships now have a way of minting money. two guys i met at the dealership got their verna crdis in a week by paying 80k under the table. im not these kinds id rather use that money for accessories. they wont ask you for the money but will try tricks to make you pay the bribe.
which variant have you booked. i paid 8.94 ex shwroom and when i saw the dealer management system for my order status i saw the factory charged the dealer 7.72 for it. And if the factory delays the order they pay the dealer an interest for delay and we dont get that nor if we cancel the order rather wait a month for refund

Re: Hyundai Verna Fluidic SX (O) Experience

I have booked the CRDI 1.6 SX. I have paid Exshowroom-9.34. You can check on the Hyundai website Hyundai Motor Company :: Prices and then select Mumbai. This would show the new ex-showroom prices.

The difference in amount (8.94-7.72), I would guess is the dealer margin. Can you please let me know how did you manage to check the dealer management system? Also does it show the date when was your car actually ordered?

Also, just saw on the Hyundai website, they have a 'Verna Fluidic Service Booking'. This sure is exclusive ;).

well dealer management system can only be checked with the senior guy or sales manager i got bugged with the executive and now directly get in touch with him he showed me it and yes you can get info like date order placed. VIN and engine number, whether dispatched if yes then from which gate, truck number, shipping company, invoiced amount that how i found out that my order was placed on 16th september when i made the payments on 28th august full. My car was mfgd on 19th. a fellow member can help you get the mfg date in the vin decoding thread

That's really nice to see, before the car comes home, you started caring for her. Its like new born baby coming home! Well tell us more about the wax, armor all brand and its effectiveness.
Also do inform about your experience of vacuum cleaner, I am planning to buy one. where did you bought all the stuff from?

Re: Hyundai Verna Fluidic SX (O) Experience

@ nickandre : Found this thread really very useful as I too own Fluidic SX(O). And I have been facing many problems replacing OEM equipment.
1st - Stock alloys ( Don't like them ). How should I go about them? Should I have to fit 16 inch alloys as my tire specification is 195/55 R 16.
2nd - Stock Horn ( Changed it ). But it doesn't sound good, I have fixed a Skoda type horn but it doesn't sound as it should and like it sounds on my other car. I have the identical brand of horn on my other car and it sounds GREAT !
3rd - Upgrading the OEM Music System ( Wanted to fix a 4 channel amp with a 12 inch enclosure). How will the wiring be connection be done? Most shops are not familiar with the new fluidic as not many cars sold and most people not gone for audio upgrades.
4th - 4300 K HIDs. A couple of dealers advised me against them saying ballast/wiring of HIDs will clash and hamper the push start-stop and smart entry system of the car. !!
5th - SATNAV system. which is a good one and how is it connected and how much will it cost? Will it work in all cities/towns (atleast capitals of states and other major towns and cities). Where will it be fitted?
6th - My music system plays CDs and sometimes breaks songs in between. There is a cut/break between songs (as in old cassettes). Is it damaged/defective CDs or defective HU ?

Thanks again nickandre :)

Re: Hyundai Verna Fluidic SX (O) Experience

1st you need 16inchers more then that will void suspension warranty. if you wish change the tires if you want to upsize then 205/50 is perfect
2nd yeah i know the stock horn is bad. try changing the location of the horn and see if it improves if not check to see if the horn is fine
3rd i read somewhere there are 2 preouts at the back of the system. if you want gps-dvd-rear view cam and touchscreen then get a caska and replace the company system.
4th. im not sure of this but i read in a forum somewhere it interfered make sure of this and that it wont affect warranty. Try and get projectors so that the safety of other drivers are kept in case you go in for hids
5th addressed in 3rd point a standalone sat nav will be fixed on ur dash or windscreen i dnt know how its connected nor the maps gurus here can help you in that though
6th are these recorded audio cds or mp3? or original ones? try with different cds if it repeats show it to hyundai

please do upload pics of your car and your experience
