Thanks guys for your replies. @CRACING - only if I read your post on time. [sad]

The damage is done. Took the car to my trusted guy and he showed me there's nothing left. His fingers were poking the metal like it was rubber. The metal part which holds the wiper motor is totally gone. New one will cost 2500rs.

He will remove the entire dashboard , weld parts , apply anti rust treatment , paint it.
Will take a week to get the car back.

Sorry for your car. That is really very bad rotting. Hopefully you will get it back properly painted again. Now it all depends on how good the workmanship is??

My personal opinion:
It's hyundai's fault. It's not your fault. Customer is not supposed to all the time keep looking for rust like a CIA agent. And that too in hard to see and difficult areas like cowl.
It's the poor paint quality of hyundai to be blamed. Not all cars rust like this. And certainly not so badly.

Yes, Hyundai's are prone to rust. Once again I am stressing cold weld is good instead of gas welding.

Oops, that's more than superficial. Luckily, I tend to open the panels once in a blue moon, no harm found so far. Never seen this much decay in such a new car [surprise]

@mayankdixit - I got the windshield replaced In June 2020 and I am sure guy would have pointed out if there was rusting near the cowl. Maybe it's indeed hyundai but there was a lot of dirt and leaves so can't really blame them 100%.

@Suryaputhra - I asked the FNG and they don't do cold weld and I have already given the car to them. Approx expenditure is 10k. 4000rs labor for removal + install of dashboard plus ac service , 2500rs for the part and 3500rs for the repair work and paint. And the guy did a good job previously also. He's 18kms away from my home.
Also the part where he will do the weld costs 4700rs but it will take a lot of time since the whole part itself is welded everywhere so best option was to repair this only.

@deville_56 - I too was shocked to see this since I maintain the cars very well. I have to check the doors also since two speakers are not working and I will check for rust also.

Water problem didn't go away just by cleaning the dirt around tail lights. There are some parts in the rear which are joint by sealent and the FNG did some sealent work wherever they could apply to stop the water ingress. Today it rained and there was not a single drop in the boot. Will keep on checking.
The music system is down. They didn't check it while refitting the dashboard. ( Car was dropped at home)

I am getting the audio system removed from the verna and getting it installed In the brezza. I gave my original verna's speakers to a friend so wanted to ask there should be no problem shifting brezza's speakers to the verna right ?

I checked the boot today and there was a little water present in the boot[sad] will get It checked from some other guy.

I changed the tyres back in September 2016 at 35k kms. Car is nearing 79k kms and even after 44k kms the tyres are holding good amount of tread and Will easily last another 15k kms.
No mood to spend another penny on the car. Will avoid the 5 year tyre changing rule for now.

1.Remove the inside matting first.
2.Do a long pressure water wash from outside over rear of car.
3.Sit in the car and check from inside from where water is leaking. Its not very tough to find out the root cause of leakage.
4.You can even make a video of it for future reference.

@mayankdixit - water was coming near the tail lights only. One guy did sit in the boot and checked the leakage after removing the mat. They thought it was because of some sealent issue.

@Vishak - there's no type of rubber/gasket near the tail lamp.

Saw this video. It indeed seems like a sealant issue.

I couldn't find one and really don't remember if there was one present but your idea seems good. It may not stop water but it sure will stop all the dirt and the muck.

Reminder : check the drainage holes in the doors of your cars.
I knew there will be muck present in the doors and today I got them cleaned.

The front speaker was not working since water has damaged the crossover.
Now I have another crossover with me (pic attached) can this be used in place of the JBL ?
