Nothing is needed to sort anything in this list, all have their own merits and very small limits by pricing and list of gizmos.
My choice for the new fresh car would be : If proper SUV - go for XUV700 it's worth the price.
If you can be happy with a compact SUV, then Hyundai Creta (Better network, better gearbox). When compared to DCT issues with Seltos.
From my knowledge, Seltos doesn't have Paddles.
Creta has paddles and also Ventilated seats, but don't know whether a full option automatic is there for Hyundai Creta, as Hyundais usually neglect that citing pricing.
The jeep is overpriced.
Harrier/Safari has niggles and poor service experience in most centres(Wait for minimum 2 years for their ASS to get strengthened)
HI,

So after many deliberations. Have finalised on two options

1.PreOwned Jeep Compass - Feels like a proper SUV although second row is little cramped.

2.Tata Harrier -Spacious and good road presence.

Waiting for the XUV700 is not an option right now. Your thoughts on this?

Buy what ever suits you but please avoid bs6 diesel engine.lots of issues.
Jeep compass might be a better choice here provided bs4 is there.
Please keep in mind that compass has its own set of issues and it's not a niggle free product. Far from it.

Actually to just add onto Mayank sir's points :
BS6 main issue is BS6 fuel hasn't arrived but govt wanted BS6 vehicles.
Another issue is the DPF clogging, that is easily solvable, weekly once run the car above 3k-4k RPMS, hence the incineration action of the DPF will work for regeneration of DPF.

Thank you Sir.
Currently I have found two cars through OLX both 2018 models

1.Jeep Compass (2.0 Longitude) ODO-22,000kms.Individual seller says it is leased by his company and wants to sell.
Final price 16,50,000
2.Jeep (Sport 2.0) by a delaer - ODO reading 32000kms.Asking price 16,5000/-

You’ve a healthy budget for the given requirements. So, I don’t think it’s worth the hassle to choose a used car unless you’re keen to own a car with snob value from the segment above. New-like used cars from the same segment of existing budget (such as Harrier) might be available but proceed with caution and finalize only after thorough checkup of vehicle history and reason for sale. If your experience with XUV500 has been pleasant, there’s no reason for not considering XUV700 which is much superior in all aspects and will offer a familiar ownership experience with peace of mind.
