Guys I have a silly doubt here.
How to measure a Rim size?
I mean I measured my DZire's rim with the measuring tape, it shows 15inches![surprise]
Hope the pics might help:

I guess I'm confused myself. What is supposed to be the rim size of the VDI?
VDi has 14chers. 165/80/14

Hmm okey let me explain you. One of our DZire VDi's tyre was in worst condition because of n numbers of huge punchers which were unable to repair. So for time being we decided to put tube in it. Since the tyrewalla did not had good quality he told us to wait for a day. So we brought back the rim and kept it in our balcony. So my lil bro was asking about the meanings of the reading 165/80/14 on the tyre so I explained him. So to cross check to my ans he got the measurement tape quickly and there started the confussion![lol]

@Gears:
You have measured the diameter of the rim! Not the rim size!

Rim size is the diameter of the rim when tyres are put on.

I have a better pic of what Ilango did

Let me explain. The red boxes indicate where the rubber of tyres will overlap! Therefore your rim size is 14 inches!

Hope you understood!

Hello..you can measure your tyre and rim size by using numbers on your rim. for example 215*r*15 like that. 215 is the width of the tyre 15 is the rim size
