Honda Cars India has introduced a host of advanced new features in the Honda Connect application. Quoting an excerpt from the press release:

Personalized & Dynamic Dashboard: This feature allows users to customize their H-Connect app to experience tailored landing home screens, colour schemes, dashboard layouts, and promotional content. The personalized and dynamic dashboard ensures the app experience aligns with individual preferences, enhancing engagement and convenience. The widget on the phone’s homescreen allows direct access to key used features and important reminders.

Digitalised Pick-up & Drop Service: Leveraging digitization, this innovative service offers unparalleled convenience and transparency. It provides digital updates related to car Pick-up & Drop to Honda Connect users and prevents any manual intervention and follow-up. Users can enjoy service appointment booking, pick-up & drop executive information sharing, real-time tracking, estimated time of arrival, and pick-up and drop car inspection records – all in a seamless paperless process.

Additional reward points on Fuel Pay through HPCL network: In partnership with HPCL, Honda Connect enables customers to seamlessly register for an enhanced fueling experience through HP Pay feature. The integration allows customers to earn 5 HP Pay points (1 point = 0.25 rupees) for every INR 100 spent [which is 25% extra benefit than regular HP customers] on fuel at HP filling stations after registration. These loyalty points can be redeemed for future fuel purchases using generated pay codes. There is no expiry of these points. Additionally, user will be able to check nearby HPCL fuel stations along with facilities available.

Sell/Buy Pre-Owned Cars via Honda Connect: Honda already offers a one-stop solution for buying and selling pre-owned cars through Auto Terrace. With a seamless interface with Auto Terrace, Honda Connect app expands accessibility of Honda Connect users to pre-owned vehicles and enhances app engagement, underscoring Honda’s commitment to providing a seamless and comprehensive experience for buyers and sellers.

Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)#: The system enhances the safety of Honda car owners by providing real-time tyre pressure updates via the Honda Connect app. It offers peace of mind while on the move, sounding an alarm in case of an air leak. TPMS can be installed as accessory and paired with Honda Connect to get live pressure updates.

Drive View Recorder (DVR)#: The system enhances the safety of Honda car owners by recording the surrounding events while the vehicle is in ON. The recorder’s footage can be conveniently viewed through the Honda-Connect app after installation.

The enhanced Honda Connect features will be available across models, providing customers the flexibility to choose the level of connectivity that suits their needs. The Honda Connect works with smart watch devices (Apple Watch OS 4 above & Android Wear OS 2.0 and above) and Alexa remote capability.

Honda Cars India registered monthly domestic sales of 9,400 units in October 2023. The export numbers stood at 3,683. The company had registered 9,543 domestic sales and exported 1,678 units in October 2022.

Honda Cars India registered monthly domestic sales of 9,400 units in October 2023.

One car added in their portfolio can make a lot of difference which is evident thanks to the numbers seen MoM and YoY. Of the 9,400 units sold in October, the Elevate contributed 5,685 units which IMO is great.

The Elevate, hopefully, should Elevate the sales numbers for the coming months for Honda. Honda shouldn't get greedy and hike the prices OR start feature deletion process to save some money.

Honda is currently on ventilator support with the Elevate acting as source of life with respect to the Indian market. Their production capacity of ~1,00,000 units per year is under utilised all these years, hopefully the Elevate will bring in some respite. Even at the current situation, only 10% is being utilised.

Honda Cars India registered monthly domestic sales of 8,730 units in November 2023 opposed to 7,051 units in November 2022. The export numbers were 3,161 units compared to 726 units in November 2022.

Honda Cars India registered domestic sales of 7,902 units and export of 3,749 units in December 2023. The company had registered 7,062 units in domestic sales and exported 1,388 units in December 2022.

The merchandise includes apparels like T-Shirts, Jackets and Caps. It is available at Honda dealership network across India.

Honda Cars India registered monthly domestic sales of 7,142 units in February 2024 with a strong growth of over 17% in comparison to the corresponding month last year.

• The company had registered 6,086 units in domestic sales and exported 973 units in February 2023.
• The export numbers for HCIL stood at 5,936 units in Feb 2024. This is the highest ever monthly export volume clocked by the company.

All thanks to the Elevate that Honda has achieved this number which has been missing for the past few months.

Hopefully, this car elevates their current position and brings them back into business. This shouldn't get onto their heads and spoil the flow by avoiding any drastic changes to any of the current variants and features that could frustrate customers and drive them towards competition.

Honda should get their other products which are offered in US/UK etc be it in the Hatchback segment or C-SUV/SUV segment.

Honda Cars India registered monthly domestic sales of 7,071 units in March 2024. The export numbers for HCIL stood at 6,860 units in Mar 2024.

• The company’s domestic sales stood at 91,418 units and export at 22,722 units during FY 22-23.
• The company registered monthly domestic sales 6,692 units in domestic sales and 3,189 units of export in Mar 2023.
• During the fiscal year 2023-24, HCIL cumulatively sold 1,24,173 units including domestic and exports in comparison to 1,14,140 units recorded in FY 22-23.
