Hi,

Need your suggestions.. my Amaze has clocked 45000 kms. I intend to flush the engine and use a different oil (aftermarket). Had been using Honda Oil. Have heard that the mileage (kmpl) would decrease if I use a different oil. Also, Honda doesn't recommend flushing the engine. It would create warranty issues. Any pointers..?

Do you actually feel the need of an aftermarket engine oil ? If yes , you can proceed. But for sure you're going to void the warranty. Think twice before you take such decisions[:)]

I plan to go fully synthetic.. do you recommend otherwise? What about flush?
The 5w30 grade oil used in the Diesel engines are synthetic ones. And they're specially designed to make the engine more efficient.

About Engine Flushing, 45,000 kms is too early for a new generation engine to get flushed. Moreover 85% of the people don't suggest engine flushing. And I won't suggest too.

Newer engine's are supposed not to be flushed,at least in such a short span.[:)]

Honda - Idemitsu is semi synthetic :)

Flush is recommended at 40K if not earlier :)

Yes. Its' just said synthetic where ever I search.

A line from the Honda site about the engine oil [:)]
" A new, low viscosity engine oil has been developed for the diesel engine called as HONDA 3D Oil.
Compared with the standard oil, the viscosity of the new engine oil has been reduced at low temperature to maximize all engine performance parameters. This new oil is highly cost competitive
"

40k flush is for a much more older generation engines. The newer ones don't even recommend them. My Bike with 92k on odo still haven't done an engine flush yet[;)]

After all, It's your call[:D]

Vishnu now i started doubting the quality of Honda now. Whatever i enquire regarding any issues with amaze, the service center guy tells " It is usual with all Amaze sir" . I told him i cant take it since it is usual with other amaze too. HONDA MUST RECTIFY THIS .. For eg.

Qn 1 : Why there is creech or crank sound when the hand brake is on and the passengers get down or get in ?
Ans : Sir it is the issue with all amazes ...

Qn 2 : During my first service even i noticed a small oil leak from the Engine head. And this time even it is leaking. Just check it out and lemme know if i need to report it to Honda incase it is a major problem.

Ans : It is also the issue with all amazes. Come sir i will show you the other amazes that came for service. Hen
Hence he showed 4 amaze and all those had the same issue. I dont know how to react on this. Planning to write to Honda directly.

Attaching the pics. Kindly share your thoughts vishnu

So Finally a much needed Upgrade for my ride. A Dash cam.

Bought Transcend Drive Pro 200. Excellent product. Can be paired to mobile via Wi-Fi,though it's a bit slow. G sensor in. Sudden jerks and brakes are automatically recorded in a seperate folder and needs to be manually deleted. Else all is automatically looped.

A Big thanks to @devill_56 for the DIY help. Indeed he's the DIY guru [clap]

I wanted the fix to be clean without too many wire's to be seen and this is how it's done [:)]

The paint job done is still holding on far much better than the 3M wrap !

Routed the wire's via A pillar with a little slack considering a little adjustment in position.

Extra Cigarette lighter port for the Dash cam power and hidden inside. So Dash cam can be switched off if needed by pulling it off. Else will auto start by ignition.

the NVH levels are quite improved with the old model which i have test driven and with this one
this is my initial observation :)
Yes, after the first lot of amaze, they've received numerous number of customer feedback and complaints on the NVH and they've actually made an improvement.

Congrats on your new ride Ram [:)]

Indeed, that's the exact point of use in India. Can avoid many unwanted talks [evil]

60K service done and the bill details down below.

Transmission Oil is due change every 60K kms, changed it. Bought few spare parts for my city which was included in this bill , hence the bill skyrocketed to 9k [lol]

9075 - 3000 = 6075 Rs [:)]
