Fitted with a 1.8-liter CNG engine, the load carrier makes 35.5 Bhp of power and 73 Nm of torque.
This engine will be carried over on to the passenger application to pit it against the Tata Venture and Mahindra Maxximo minivan. After the soft top is on the market, would like to see HM execute a steel bodied van with leather seats, entertainment system and air conditioning.

No wonder HM is failing.

I can't imagine how much effort the engineers had to put in to extract only 35 Bhp and 73 Nm from a 1.8l engine.

Even the 1.2l engine from a Lada Riva produced 60 Bhp and 85Nm, and that was a car built by the Soviet Union!

our local workshop mechanic Mohanettan would have made a better engine. ( he repairs any vehicle cars, bikes, mini lorrys. buses and i had even spotted a small boat of the indian navy in his workshop)
