I dont know the use of it.
But if you look closely, you will see the numberplate under it.

Maybe it is to hide numberplate from the cops.

its a fake air dam. as is the trend today in economy bikes, fake everything to make it look muscular.

And the engine upgraded to suit BS-III ? Shouldn't it be BS-IV ? or are the emission norms different for bikes ?

What are the cosmetic changes?? I see new clear lens indicators and new graphics only. And I dont see any disc brakes too.

Yep its different for bikes. Its BS III now.
