Help needed that must be visited on the way to Golden Temple(Vellore)?

Hello TAI members from Chennai.
I am planning for a visit to Golden Temple Vellore this Tuesday.
This would be my 4th Visit.
Though i have gone to this place many times, I would like to know some more places near Vellore.
Last 2 times i visited the Jain Temple near Krishnagiri, As well as fort in Sripuram.
Apart from this i need to explore some more places nearby this time.
As i intend to visit Golden temple in the evening as in night the place will be awsome with gold glittering in the lights.
So would like to know other places nearby before seeing Golden Temple.

Arun what is the place of interest of that place buddy?
My dad suggested Kanchi temple.
And yes i forgot to tell time constraint within a day.
Golden temple is ecactly 235 kms from my door to temples entrance.

Hi Mukesh,

A famous temple is there in Thiruvannamalai (Arunachaleswarar). You need 2 hours to spend there. Kanchi temple is also a great idea dude.
Vellore to thiruvannamalai --> 80km (2 hours needed)
vellore to kanchipuram --> 73km (1 hour needed)

It all depends on crowd dude. [:)]

And does both these places are on the same route?
And suggest me the route names of intermediate places of deviation would be helpful.

Hi Mukesh,

Unfortunately, both are in different directions.

To go to kanchipuram, you may have to catch NH4.
Gandhinagar - brahmapuram - sevoor - ranipet - pannapakkam - kanchipuram


To go to thiruvannamalai, you may have to refer google maps dude. [:)]

Sorry if this is offending dude, dont mean to offend you.
But why do you only travel to temples?
I mean I have been reading quite a lot of your travelogues, and they are all related to visit to a temple/temples

lol this is because i have to drive all the way .
All my family members totally rely on me whenever it comes to driving on Highway's(Overtaking big lorries,Container ) & Ghat sections, Busy roads etc.
That too my grand mother is visiting & she is keen to see the temple first time.
And i have to satisfy this when ever i have holidays & they postpone their visit hoping that i will meet their requirements.
I had plans to visit kerala but my sis from is visiting India around Sep so had to postpone.
Why don't you suggest some place?
Hey AMG i think you have not seen my travelogue to OOTY.
Its not related to temple.[lol]

I missed the Ooty travelogue
BTW I live way north in Amritsar, near the Pakistan border, so I cant recommend any major places to visit.

Wow AMG , I have never seen North India.
And post some pics near Wagah Border & Golden Temple of Amritsar?
