September 2020 - Continued - Fog Lamp Bulb Replacement

RH fog lamp accessible only after removing the bumper. Hindered by the windscreen washer tank. LH can be accessed by removing fender lining.

2020-09-15 16-39-46.jpg

5-1/2 year old local fog lamp. Our longest surviving unit. Third unit. Rusted, but not as badly as expected.

2020-09-15 16-40-19.jpg

Took some time and effort to open as everything including the screws were rusted and stuck. And also a good amount of Rust Off.

The conked bulb. Phillips H3. Survived 5+ years. The unbranded bulb came with it wouldn't have survived a month or two.

Got Osram Classic H3 55W. Surprisingly cheap at ₹ 43.00. Made in India. (Phillips was ₹ 130.00/piece and was made in Korea).

Installed bulb and the pling moment [frustration]. The frame wasn't fitting in any way. Used the pliers to hammer it into place and hit the glass and broke it [confused]

Installed as such in any way.

September 2020 - Mending the Grille

Grille and the broken garnish.

2020-09-15 17-14-49.jpg

Mesh. One of the first mods done on the Angel.

2020-09-15 17-13-47.jpg

Rear side with no clips.

2020-09-15 17-19-30.jpg

Fixed the broken clips with overdose of superglue. Didn't feel confident enough.

2020-09-15 17-28-53.jpg

Reinforced with glue gun. Super strong, suprisingly strong.

2020-09-15 17-49-17.jpg

Part number 71742M59K00. Available on Boodmo, MRP ₹385.00.

2020-09-15 17-48-54.jpg

Made by Fiem.

2020-09-15 17-49-01.jpg

Ready for install.

2020-09-15 17-53-54.jpg

Hell's Angel faded off, 10+ years old. Scrapped it off for redo.

September 2020 - New Horn Relay

Angel got 2 pairs of horns, Bosch Symphony and a Honda Amaze stock twins. One of the Symphonies were stammering due to issue with relay.

2020-09-15 18-09-56.jpg

Symphony was running on melody maker set in normal mode without any funky musical. It had a dual relay setup for tones. One of the relay was clicking partially or slowly causing the stuttering. It was 8-10 years old. Amaze horns were running on Hella 4-pin relay without any drama.

2020-11-25 09-48-07.jpg

Bought two 3-pin relays. Super Waterproof. Usually prefer 4 pin ones, but got 3 pin due to ease of wiring. ₹149.00 per piece.

Restocked wire. 10 m at ₹10 per meter.

2020-09-15 18-29-13.jpg

WIP. Tagged the relays. Amaze horns had wiring already in place. Symphony needed rewiring since melody maker was installed inside the car and fed from cars stock wiring by the accessory shop guy who installed the first Roots Windtone, which was replaced and relocated with Symphony by myself. Old nylon sleeved headlight sockets. They need replacement as well.

2020-11-24 20-34-09.jpg

Didn't click the finished wiring as it was dark.

Hi, deviile 56
Is power window motor for wagonR 2002 vxi available
Power window motor is not available as single part. It usually comes with the full regulator assembly. Since the model is pretty old, not sure whether it will be readily available. Can be ordered through MGP outlet.

Alternatively, some auto electricians rewinds the motor.

Another alternative is accessory shops. They have aftermarket units which can be fitted without any issue. We did that on Indica when part was not available.

Worked out to be total ₹ 554.40. Ordered without second thoughts. Expected a delay due to the pandemic, but reached in a week through Delhivery.

Hi, Deville 56
Which phone you are using to take photos and upload it in TAI.
Changed many over time. First ones were from a borrowed Creative 2 MP camera, then brother's Sony Xperia W580i. Then, bought my first camera phone, Samsung Star. Then, Nokia Lumia 520, Moto G, Yu Yureka (my favourite), Redmi 4. In between bought first camera, Canon SX130.

In past 2-3 years, upgraded to Sony HX90V and Redmi Note 6 Pro. Itching to go for a 64-108 MP phone soon.

Hi, Deville 56
One of the songs in your Zen Estilo.

Got copyright infringement warning for that video [lol]

November 2020 - Bye-Bye Steering Cover.

This original Dolphin steering wheel cover was bought between 2008-10, which was one of the first accessories on the car. Did well until recently when it started cracking due to age.

2011-09-28 15-24-30.JPG

Black and beige. Found no proper snap of the wheel.

2012-04-10 21-19-26.JPG

The cracked cover. Only I was having difficulty/irritation using it, others were okay or least bothered with it.

Dirt accumulated over years. 9-3 spoke worn as well, where we tend to hold more.

2020-11-24 17-05-47.jpg

Sprayed some STP Tuff Stuff

2020-12-26 14-06-15.jpg

and wiped clean. The horn pad needs proper cleaning. Steering had a soft rubbery finish, which feels weird after getting used to the thicker covered wheel. By the time I was driving, we had the cover on. Next plan is for OE finish steering wrap, but delayed due to the pandemic scene, full black this time. I had plans for steering swap with Wagon R of same period, which had same wheel, but in black colour.

November 2020 - Underdash Glow repair

One of the earlier mods, back in 2012.

2012-04-08 20-57-17.JPG

Only 2/8th was working on one side.

2020-11-24 23-18-25.jpg

Had some red strip left.

2020-11-24 23-16-39.jpg

Cut some 1 mm foam board for base. Previous one was simply stuck with its double side tape, which fell intermittently and had to be stuck again and again.

2020-11-24 23-21-27.jpg

New module.

2020-11-24 23-29-16.jpg

Wired and ready to install.

2020-11-24 23-43-27.jpg

Stuck with 3M tapes and installed.

2020-11-25 09-55-01.jpg

Forgot clicking post-install pics. Other side is pending, heights of laziness and also shortage of LED. Non-waterproof out of stock everywhere. I prefer those as I can scavenge LEDs for other projects and can be repaired easily replacing single LEDS, which is not possible with waterproof.
