Hi,

I've got an idea after looking for projector setups for swift. we don't have the same for Ritz [frustration]. It is really hard to drive on highways with these OEM lights.

So, here is my idea for modifying the headlight, there are 3 slots for bulbs.
1) Turn Indicator (which works with small light on the side of the body)
2) Head light.
3) Parking light.

So, i wanted to fix a 100/90W H4 in the headlight slot and the 60/55 W on the turn indicator slot and modify wiring so that both lit up when head lights are turned on. For the turning part, side body light can take care of it.

Below is the image of headlight assembly for Ritz.

Let me know if it serves the purpose or an overkill [:)]

this much power full headlamp will produce lot of heat ,can melt those OEM reflctors and lamp holders.

Re: Head Light modification for Ritz

aah, it never occurred to me about the heat...Does it really produce that much heat? i've seen many people using 100/90W, my friend has it on his swift.
May be if i add both then it may be problem.

So, why not the idea of 60/55W on both the slots [;)]

Re: Head Light modification for Ritz

for highway riding you need long throw light. these reflectors especially the smaller one with dotted reflector more or less spread the light on road at within 30meters . so adding more lamp will only brighten the near by areas not giving you longer view.

inquire about direct fit hid xenon projectors.

They look great, where did you get these. Can you give me the estimate how much it will cost all together and where can i get them?

@jayadev: for Ritz, the reflector is mildly dotted, most part is clean, see below

Re: Head Light modification for Ritz

hey raj

i have these projectors with me

there are 2 options in the projectors with me

1 has only the white angel ring (rs 9500)

and the other has an additional red light inside the projector (rs 10500)

they both come with xenons and ballasts and the wiring needed for the setup

if u want me to fit them for you i will need you to send me the headlights or else i will have to buy them here for you here the the installation is (1500 RS) without paint and (rs 2200 with paint)

Re: Head Light modification for Ritz

Do you have pictures of these projectors(with red light and without).
What brand are these?

Also, 1500 is for installation with headlights(you buying new ones) or without(me sending them).
if without, what will the price of new headlights?

what's the need of paint? sorry, i'm new to this...

Using 100/90W bulbs will not show the effect immediately. If your driving is going to excessively in the highways then due to the excessive heat a black layer will get formed inside your headlamp assembly , will look ugly! I have seen several cars like that.

And also i think 100/90W bulbs are not street legal.

Re: Head Light modification for Ritz

whoa!
my opinion in head lamp upgrade is , either projector set up
or
stock

100/90 will dull your head lamp in a couple of year.
and extensive use of it will melt the reflector.

and adding a 60/55 in turn indicator as additional lights - a new way to make headlamp to look as ice cream taken out of refrigerator after 20 min!

Best upgrade solution
add driving lamps . hellas - cheaper / good quality / best

Branded projectors a pair with dual angel rings and H1 high/low beam will cost around Rs.10000 to Rs.12000. And installation will cost you another Rs.2000. Do let me know if you need it.
