Hello guys, hawk completed a travel to Tirumala.

Total members on board -5

We had to attend a marriage in Chittor.

After the marriage function on Monday in Chittor.

Around 10am we left for Tirupathi from Chittor.

Chittor to Tirupathi is roughly around 74 kms.

Route Followed: Bangalore(Koramangala-Marathalli-KrishnaRajaPuram-Old Madras Road)-Hoskote-Kolar(Bypass)-Mulbagil (Bypass)-Chittor-Tirupathi-KalaHasti-Tirumala.

Bangalore-Tirumala Distance is 297 kms.

On the way to Chittor, Just after Kolar had stopped for Lunch at Woody's.

Its the only decent hotel on that stretch.

Another one that comes way before Kolar is Kamat Upachar.

Out of 2, I would recommend Woody's.

After we left from Chittor, We visited places around Tirupathi.

GovindaRaja Swamy temple, Kalahasti.

Then on the same day we went to Tirumala.

I read that at chittoor by-pass, there is one nice hotel, Bans or something, which is also nice.

This place serves the best food.

This is the Hoskote-Kolar stretch.

Yes its the Bans Hotel.

Its on the stretch of the road on the way to Kanipakkam.

But this is the only stretch of the road that has potholes.

After the breakfast at Bans which has Restaurant named Squirrel.

We headed towards Kanipakkam stretch.

The road straight leads to Tirupathi.

Now only 2 way lane comes into play.

The road through Chittor-Palamner is good to drive.

Re: Hawk on a Travel: Bangalore-Chittor-Tirumala(Tirupathi).

Then via Chittor bypass we visited all the places around Tirupathi.
Kanipakkam , Govindarajaswamy temple, Kalahasti.

It was already 3.00 pm by the time we visited places in and around Tirupathi.

Then we thought of going to Tirumala as we had planned to visit uphills by foot.

Toll cost to uphills of Tirumala 30/- for Jeep/Van

We paid it & one has to reach uphills within prescribed time limit.

Otherwise questioning takes place by Police in Tirumala.

As sun will rise down, it will be a good time to climb the steps.

And we parked the vehicle up hill in Tirumala.

Booked the room.

Took a jeep downhill to the steps of Alipiri.

Then the journey of 3550 steps started.

It has 57 hairpin curves while coming down.

Avinash, I got darshan 2 times.

For Pedestrians, who make it upto tirumala by foot.

A special Darshan of Lord Balaji called "Divya Darshan" token is given.

This queue just passes through 300 Rs queue of SeegraDarshanam in VQC-1.

This comes after 2085 th step.

Where the Gali Gopuram exists.

I reached this Gopuram at 4.45 pm.

All the roads seems to be in nice condition! And you are lucky to get two darshans buddy!

Nice pictures , keep them coming! How much time did it take for the Darshan?

Did you go uphill with AC ON in your Hawk?

@ RSM The road uphill and downhill are in pretty good condition. No worries , Punto can handle those roads with ease! Like Mukesh said while downhill there are many hair-pins so one has to a little careful!

Dhaya, Yes Ac will always be ON in the hawk.

While ascenting the road of Ghat is not steep.

They have made a Nice road, with the toll as i have posted with pics.

And scanning of luggages is done on this way very swiftly.

Earlier one had to wait for a Single machine to get it scanned.

While descending there are 57 hair pin bends.
Which can be done easily.
