Harley Davidson is gearing up to launch its most affordable offering in India by 2024. It’ll be the first co-developed model in partnership with Hero Moto Corp.

The two partners are in “advanced stages of developing the midweight category premium motorcycle”, quoted an official statement.

This will be the second attempt by Harley Davidson in the affordable mass segment, after Street 750 and Street Rod, both of which were discontinued from the market in 2021.

Hero took over distribution of Harley Davidson motorcycles, parts, accessories, and merchandise in India in October 2020 after Harley decided to shut the Indian operations.

Hero has since then expanded the Harley's distribution network to 13 dealerships and 10 service centres. It has sold 287 units this year so far, mostly comprising of Pan America 1250 Special and Sportster S motorcycles.
