Grey Monster: Toyota Innova VX 8-Seater (2011) Ownership Review

Now,car has run 87500 Kms and still impresses us in terms of space and comfort.What annoys us is mileage.Yes,this is the only problem we are facing with Innova till now.It gives around 10-11 Kmpl in city and 12-13 Kmpl on highways.This will be our daily ride until we buy a Creta for city running and will be using Innova for highways.

Yet to give him for servicing,but lack of time made us not to give for servicing.

90K Kms service done

Got our Innova serviced at 88200 Kms and bill I got is ₹17k as we gave it for 90K Kms service.All important parts has been replaced and added two accessories today.One is magnetic shades(zip one)costed me ₹1800 and another one is Muffler cutter,which I got it for ₹450.After adding magnetic shades,the looks has been improved much but the only grouse with it is the middle row one is getting loose,which we tried it much whereas last row one got fixed without any issues.

Its been a month since I updated this thread.Car has run 90500 Kms and did 2300 Kms after service and facing no issues with it all now.Did almost 15000 Kms in 10 months and those last 4 months had zero running due to accident.From Jan 7th till now it has run 10,000 Kms.

Yeah long ago.We sold it in the first week of Jan 2017 for a mere ₹4L as it had run more than 1,12,000 Kms before selling it off.

Now,Innova has run 91900 Kms which is close to 92000 Kms and got an amazing 12.5 Kmpl on recent highway trip on Wednesday.The car was taken by my grandfather,whose cousin had passed away so he had to go on emergency and we had arranged him our car.

And,he has completed 6 years(May 2011) manufactured on May 30th and he is still looking fresh even after 6 years.

Innova is still doing its duties and never faced any problems with engine,seating except driving in city.

Size problems bro.Sometimes I feel like this vehicle is bigger for our city usage.So,we are thinking to buy another one and keep Innova for highway rides.

Something like Celerio AMT or even the very small Nano AMT could be a boon in city and run Frugral too.

Was planning to go for Ciaz Diesel,but after hearing that it will get increased by ₹1.5L,we are in a dilemma whether we should book Ciaz or go for Creta or other one.

BTW,I have booked an Honda Activa 4G last Friday and will be getting by this week hopefully.

Hi,
I see there is a difference in engine performance between the 2007 and 2009 models. Yesterday i have driven a 2009 model Innova (218900 kms on Odo) and it has amazing pickup. But 2005 to 2008 models rich in mileage and pickup was less compared to 2009 model engines.
Whether you felt the difference?
