PATNA: State transport departmenton Sunday directed the district transport officers to take action against vehicles with pressure horns and bullet motorbikes with modified silencers. Action will also be taken against people who blow horn without reasons.

The step has been taken to reduce noise pollution. The flying squad of transport department and traffic police would impose fine on the violators as per the provisions in Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.

The department has urged people to lodge complaints with the respective DTOs against using pressure horn and modified silencers by the vehicle owners.

Hope this is implemented across India, here in Chennai all the dudes with modified silencers on their bullets cause too much irritation in already congested road !
The cham of driving a bullet has been lost for good
Another irritating/ hazaardous thing is the tiny lights that are being attached to bikes - near silencers/ number plates etc.,. They cause so much distraction by their blinking to commuters right behind them !

Cops stopped a Himalayan BS6 Royal Enfield to check whether he has changed the stock exhaust

The video was uploaded by Aneesh Shajan who was riding his new Royal Enfield. Seems Cops were not aware that the new BS6 Himalayas comes with a bigger catalytic converter in the exhaust head, compared to the BS4 version of the Himalayan, While one of the cop was busy in checking his DL, another one was searching Google to find if the Exhaust is stock or modified.

Be careful those who drive modified vehicles in Kerala
