Samsung Bada OS was designed to offer a low cost OS for smartphones.

Now with Android phones coming cheap(6-7K), where exactly does this leave Bada OS?

good topic. Samsung has to reduce the price of the Wave significantly now. Wave is the only one with Bada right?

My Samsung Wave was upgraded to Bada OS 1.2.In my opinion Bada has a bright future due to following reasons:

  • Android has excessive Privacy handicap -Android is fast turning out favourite of malware writers. So in few years you may require antimalware subscription for your phone like your windows computer.
  • Different versions of Android every year with negilgable advantages
  • Graphics still in nascent stage so quality of games inferior even to Bada OS.
These are my views on Android and what I have written is based on my experience with android phones.

I may be buying a bada phone, so this question is bugging me.

Tell me guys, what do you think would be the future of bada?

Would it survive the android onslaught, or will it die?

Bada is a really nice OS if wanna use it. It is stable as well. You have to make the choice of your OS depending up on your priorities and needs.

If we compare Bada with Android under 15k . Bada is vfm and will keep occupying that area as Android is worse experience in less powerful mobile this is my own experience

So back to question
Yes I think bada will survive
