Re-posting FE figures with a question for Vista/Manza owners,

Vehicle: Vista Vx
25-07-2012 14-19-56.jpg

Above figures are combination of 70/30 ratio of City/Highway driving.

I have done tank full 23 times. Never a partial fill.

After every thank full, the trend is
a. First 200 km - Fuel meter needle moves hardly 3-5 mm
b. @ 400 km - Fuel meter needle shown Half tank
c. @ 500 km - Fuel meter needle goes to the red zone & indicator lamp glows
d. @ 560-585km - The needle touches base indicating empty tank

Then I refill @ 36-38 litres of diesel. Thank capacity is 40 ltrs.

Total odo till date - 12555 km.

I need fellow TAIns to throw some light at this behaviour, especially Vista/Manza guys.

My next attempt to verify FE is going to be:
1. Refill the tank from half way mark and check FE (3-iterations)
2. Refill the tank on every 300km run (3-iterations)

Let's see if it does any good.

If it is diesel, then the FE your getting looks to be little less. According to my experience it returns something around 18+ in city and 22+ on highway as one of my friend has this car.
Anyhow check with other Vista owners in the forum !!

Well the correct way of calculating your FE is tankful to tankful.

Top-up our vehicle from a good pump especially from a company owned one and drive your car for say 50 to 60 km in city return back to the same pump and ask him to top it up again, only till the auto shut vale switch's off, you get the exact FE. (The reason for same pump is because the measurement will not change)

Your cars tyre pressure should also be correct and a lot depends on all this, even your Air intake filter should be less congested.........

When on red lights and railway crossing or in traffic jams always switch off your engines and enjoy.

I drive a Maruti Sx4 CNG here is what i get.
Here is my complete story:
http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/f...-review-sx4-green-vxi-cng-company-fitted.html

I cant tell you the exact mileage of CNG because it really depends on the pressure and gas gone in.

So here is a rough estimate for the same.

CNG CITY DRIVING Approx : 17 to 18 KM / Per Kg
CNG HIGHWAY DRIVING : 21 to 22.1 KM/ Per KG

Petrol Mode City : 13 to 14Kmpl
Highway Mode : 16 to 18 kmpl

This mileage clearly depends on your right foot, the more you press the less you get.

Vehicle : Manza Quadrajet Aura +
Fuel : Diesel
Calculation Method : Full Tank to Full Tank (Auto Shut off)
City Mileage : 14.7 - 15.1 (about 10% AC) (avg speed about 20 kmph)
Highway Mileage : 17-19 with 100% AC when driven at 100-110 kmph
Highway Mileage : 21.2 with 100% AC when driven at 80-90 kmph (only once I managed to drive at a sedate speed between Chennai and Bangalore)

MID shows a deviation of +- 0.4

Thanks!

I am planning to do that method in my second iteration (200km run)

Let me check from tank full to half tank to tank full method.

I know this iteration stuff is time consuming, but fortunately I have that patience to try out [;)]

Yeah, that is the feedback I have from my friends outside this forum. Thanks!

Request all the proud owners of Vista/Manza to share their experiences regarding FE.
