Chinese e-bike maker Fucare has unveiled its powerful and wild-looking Gemini X electric bike that looks well-suited for urban and rough terrains. The Gemini X has a trellis-style frame and offers excellent features that put it as a fast Class 3 e-bike. The Gemini X has a top speed of 28mph (~45km/h) and offers dual batteries for an extended range.

The Fucare Gemini X electric bike can carry loads up to 181kg which is a rarity with current e-bikes. The frame design is a combination of a truss bridge and Erector Set. The frame’s narrow diameter tubes wrap around the 48V battery at the front.

The second battery is located just under the seat and both batteries offer a combined capacity of 20.8Ah and 55 miles range. The range is further extended to 80 miles with pedal assist. Thanks to its 750W rear hub motor, the Gemini X can get to a top speed of 28mph under pedal assist. The top speed when deploying throttle-only locomotion is 20mph. Other great features in the Gemini X are its 7-speed Shimano transmission, its spring fork front suspension, a 5.3-inch color display, and a USB port for charging devices.

The Gemini X is priced at $1,899 for the base model while the step-through model is more expensive. The Gemini X Class 3 electric bikes are legally allowed on US streets, while also capable of moving in more demanding terrain.
