Recently I have been to Bangalore and while returning to Mangalore I took Bannerghatta road,NICE road till Magadi, and Magadi to Kunigal road. Near Madadi road widening was going on and unfortunately a loose stone landed on my Maruti's windshield and small crack of about 1 cm appeared. My mechanic told me that front glass has to be changed since the crack will develop further. It was Asahi glass Laminate LT model. I visited local shop which has stocking many brands of windshield glasses. . They had brands like XYG (Chinese?) Saint Gobian, Asahi etc. While googling I found that XYG is worst even though it comes with black shade on top side of the glass. It costs Rs.1800-00. Believe me many TATA Indica has that product! Apart from lower cost models all front glasses comes with two layered glass with a film sandwiched between. There were clear glasses, laminated ones, and with light tint. Will some one help me to choose good one for my 800?

) Here some brands are quite costly compared to Bangalore.
