If its stuck its better to take it to service, if we have good DIY habits, we can do it ourselves, its easy job actually, but if we mess it up, the clips that hold it in place might break off and cause part to be replaced.

Went to Ford Service center and got the horn pad replaced. The horn pad spring was damaged. Total damage to my wallet is 2200/- (including tax and labour charge). Also replaced the battery with Exide mileage 44Ah. Cost 4500 with old battery. This is my third battery. Original battery was replaced at 50K km with the same OEM battery. Now at 98K km i have gone for Exide with 4 years warranty.

I guess this your second engine as well right?
First the lower block was replaced right? Do keep an eye on oil consumption .

yes. Now i religiously do engine oil check. So far no issue. Engine oil level remains same from one service to next service
The second gen 100 PS diesel Fords seem to have sorted this leaky Piston ring issue to quiet a good extent, still its not perfect, once in a while I hear someone complaining excess oil consumption and getting internals replaced, so its still not the most trouble free engines on market, but some are extremely good as well, I ve seen 90 PS Ecosports with over 2 lakhs on odo, still running fine, but with some excess black smoke and engine noise. How is the service there? For me, the service quality is getting better with time despite Ford being in partnership with M&M. Thats the biggest saving grace that keeps my 2010 Figo within myself, opposing older tradition where people dont keep American /European brands for not more than 5-7 years.

Same here. Service is improving day by day. Overall it is good. Also, regular service cost of Ecosport is cheap compared to its competitors. My car has done 98K km. Except that engine work there has been no issue so far. So far i have replaced rear shocks, clutch master cylinder, wipers, tyres and horn pad. All others parts are stock. Original stock brakes are still sharp.

40,000 km service is due for my 2016 Ford Ecoport 1.5 TDCi. Recommended Oil grade is 5w30 acea A5/B5. Which of the following oil should I go for?
1) Amsoil Diesel Signature series 5w30 - 3800 for 3.8 ltr
2) Mobil 1 Newer Vehicle formula 5w30 - 3028 for 4 ltr (- 200 discount on Flipkart)
3) Motul 8100 X-cess 5w40 - 2682 for 4 Ltr
4) Liqui Moly New generation 5w30 - 3500 for 4 ltr

Are you sure about the quantity? My Nexon diesel takes in 5 ltr of oil, please do check the manual.

I'm using Amsoil signature series. It's just too good. I use Amsoil Diesel cetane booster 60 ml for a tankful and the performance is just next level. Try it. It's good.
P.S.- I'm using them on my Global Fiesta and Freestyle.

Thank you for your reply. There are two options in 5w30 Signature series.
1) Amsoil Diesel Signature series 5w30 CK4 E7 - This is latest CK4 and also recommended for Diesels but its not A5/B5
2) Amsoil Signature series 5w30 SN+ A5/B5 - This one is A5/B5 but SN+ which is recommended for Petrol engines.

Ford recommended is 5w30 a5/b5 wss-m2c913-c. Though none of above is m2c913 compatible. Which one to go for?

You can go for A5/B5. If you are using Petrol fuel cetane boosters not usable, you can look for a good octane booster from AMSOIL or liquimoly. It will help performance and reduce carbon buildup.

I went for Amsoil Diesel Signature series engine oil. I have mentioned my experience in my ownership thread. Link -
