Press Release:
With an objective of becoming environment friendly, the government has put across an ambitious target of 30 percent of private cars, 70 percent of all commercial cars, 40 percent of buses, and 80 percent of two-wheeler and three-wheeler sales to be electric by 2030. All the stakeholders including the government, private automobile manufacturers, suppliers, and users have switched to full gear to accelerate the same.

In line with the ultimate aim of eMobility, Indian Exhibition Services launched EV India Expo 2021, an electric motor vehicle shows at India Expo Centre, Greater Noida, from 24th December 2021 to 26th December 2021. The event is organised by Green society of India and Indian exhibition services. The event is co-organised by SMEV (Society of Manufacturers of Electric Vehicles). The three-day-long mega show of electric vehicles will serve as the perfect platform to the industry players to showcase the latest e-vehicles, clean energy technology, hybrid vehicles and relevant products for the ecosystem. The event has a strong participation from over 120 + brands including the Okaya, GT Force, Kabira Mobility, EVTRIC Motors etc.
The event is also supported by The ministry of Environment Forest and climate change, MeITY, Ministry of MSME, NITI Aayog, ARAI and ICAT.

The organisers are easily expecting a footfall of over 45k+ visitors across the three-day programme. The concurrent events at the expo – E-Charge Forum 2021, E-Mobility Awards 2021, EV Rally, and EV pe Charcha will act as facilitator in forging bonds between the EV industry, trade associations, government agencies and service providers. It will also acknowledge the efforts of the players that have come so far, and encourage the ideas that are to follow.

Commenting on the expected fuel that the expo will add in the whole mission, Expo’s organiser, Swadesh Kumar said, “Currently, the first priority for EV players is to spread more awareness and compete with the ICE counterparts. It is imperative that the audience accepts the fact that EVs are at par with ICE, and that the industry players are relentlessly working towards innovating better. On the other side, all the players too need to come to the same platform to synergise for mutual and holistic growth of the sector. The expo will play a catalyst in the entire scenario. Additionally, the industry is witnessing the participation of first time start-ups, who will get a stage to display their technology and products and leverage the opportunity to the best.”
