DSK Supinfocom Pune Students in Finals of 'Ferrari World Design Contest'

The Contest has been launched by the manufacturer from Maranello in collaboration with Autodesk, the Ferrari’s technical partner and proud supporter of the project, for 50 prestigious international design schools. The seven finalist schools, with students from all over the world, will be involved in planning the Ferrari of the future. The finalists are: IED and IAAD from Turin (Italy), the London Royal College of Arts (UK), the European Design Institute Barcelona (Spain), Seoul’s Hong-ik College (Korea), the DSK Supinfocom from Pune (India) and the College For Creative Studies in Detroit (USA).

The winners, with the results announced in July, will win an internship at Ferrari, and cash prizes.

Hey Knightrider, Thanks for posting this information. I’m always interested in such designing stuff. DSK ISD is a renowned automobile designing college in India and it’s a pleasure to know that they have made it up to an international level that too with manufacturer like Ferrari. I’ll be eagerly looking forward to know the results next month. Please keep this thread updated. And by the way, can we have some snapshots of their designs?

The participants are asked to create a pure hypercar with technology and materials from the latest generation, a car with an extreme architecture, while functional under every aspect. The contest runs until July 2011. The jury, under the presidency of Luca di Montezemolo, will award an internship at Ferrari's Centro Stile, lead by Flavio Manzoni, to the first and second placed participants as well as monetary prizes.

Oh, all right. These are French. Why no one from India? Recently an Indian student from same school was awarded by SIAM for his design.
