drive from borivali to kankavali and back

distance covered 493 kms x 2.

time taken around 12 hours both the times.

thanks to the never ending traffic from panvel to pen and then bad stretch of the road between lanja and khed.

during june when roads were butter smooth was able to complete the journey within 8-10 hours with slight interruption of the rain that time.

have enclosed the route map . will upload the pictures later(not much to share though) and the accommodation too.

Re: Driving to my native place

figures were around 12 kmpl for the first full tank.

had to refill tank twice and the second refill is yet to go empty[:)].

stayed up at hotel since our native home is under rebuild mode.

the food at that hotel was great.

rates were affordable too.

the cost of stay was around 790/day for a semi deluxe room. (AC room with its ac switched off since it was cold anyways)

diesel fill around 24xx for the first tank fill.

second fill was for around 2320.
