Even i would not like to do that, why unnecessarily give load to the engine. No need to check the capabilities, they all are tested in labs.
One Interesting Fact about Red Lining- When Tata Manza is rev'd above 5000, the white/ Transparent RPM indicator needle becomes red! You can check this out!

Sure they are and like I said elsewhere, Fuel prices are the only reason that's keeping me from swapping my 0.8 Litre Alto with the K10.
what is the avg FE that you are getting, many say that K10 alto is more fuel efficient[confused], and Alto being the lighter of the other cars with k10 it sure must deliver more miles per litre...
