The mother of all Motorsporting events, the Dakar 2011 is on.
This time too its not actually run through the Dakar but its in South America, and run through Argentina and Chile.

I think Sainz is still there, The official site says his Co-driver is Cruz Lucas who is also a Spaniard like Sainz They have been pushed to second by Al-Attiyah the Qautari driver.
In the bikes Marc Coma is still in the lead I believe.

This time there are 572 different vehicle entries which include Bikes, Cars, Dune buggys and trucks.

Al-Attiyah from Qatar came first in the cars category.
Marc Coma, the Spaniard in the bikes.
Alejandro Patronelli, the Argentinian in the Quads category.
and Vladimir Chagin, the Russian finished first among the trucks.
