Squeaking can be due to the brakes or the wheel bearings. If it is a whine then it can be a timing belt.It is hard to pin point the issue without driving the car.

I suggest you show it to the service center.

Guys at coastal areas the clutch cable gets damaged easily due to the salty moisture.
There is a 100% chance on damage if driven through sea,if you can recollect such a drive then replace the cable straight away.

Easy way to check the clutch is by holding the car on clutch with an engaged 1st gear on an inclined slop with minimum acceleration.
If the car shivers and clutch slips on such condition the clutch plate/pressure plate is damaged and needs a replacement.
If not replace the clutch cable.
Please note that all car clutch's are not driven by cables, some are on hydrolic cylinder's.
Here on estilo it is the cable.

The engine rpm and the gearbox rpm needs to match. If you release the clutch too fast the car will stall.

Holding the clutch pedal fully pressed when the car is at a standstill will just waste fuel.

The clutch can be released in stages if driving through traffic. When you release it a little the car will start moving.Just remember not to use the accelerator in this situation.Once you have enough space to move release the clutch fully and then step on the accelerator slowly.
