The Citroën C3 has been awarded the title of “World Urban Car 2023” at the 19th World Car Awards by a panel comprising of more than 100 automotive experts from 32 countries.

Citroen C3, C3 Aircross updated with new features
Along with the launch of the new Basalt coupe-SUV, Citroen has updated its C3 and C3 Aircross with some new features that were missing since their respective launches.
Citroen C3 Aircross: what’s new?
We had first reported about Citroen’s plans to introduce new features for its existing products in March this year. The C3 Aircross now gets an automatic climate control, LED projector headlamps, rear AC vents, six airbags and a larger, sliding front armrest. The rear power window switches have moved from the centre console to the door pads, while the SUV also gets a new flip-key.

Much like the C3 Aircross, the C3 also gets LED projector headlamps, auto folding ORVMs and automatic climate control too. It also now gets the 7-inch digital instrument cluster from the C3 Aircross and the new Basalt, while six airbags are also now standard.
Pricing for the updated C3 and C3 Aircross is yet to be revealed. We expect the two offerings to receive a slight price hike owing to the new feature additions. The Citroen C3 is priced from Rs 6.16 lakh to Rs 9 lakh, while the C3 Aircross is priced from Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 14.11 lakh, before the update.
The C3 goes up against the Hyundai Exter and Tata Punch, while the C3 Aircross has no direct rivals in the market. However, the three-row SUV does face some competition from mid-size SUVs such as Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, among others.

After selling the C5 Aircross import, C3 Hatchback was the one that launched Citroen as a mainstream car manufacturer in India. C3 Hatchback brought price competitiveness into its segment. But the company achieved those pricing with severe cut downs in features and overall creature comforts.
With C3 Hatchback, Citroen later introduced Shine variant, with a few much-needed feature updates. However, that wasn’t exactly the fix Citroen was hoping to boost sales. Fast forwarding to August 2024, Citroen has just updated its C3 Hatchback with new features and creature comforts, which seem to be a step in the right direction.
Variant wise prices
We wished Citroen didn’t hike the prices with the new updates because C3 Hatchback should have had these features from day one. Prices for 2024 Citroen C3 start from Rs 6.16 lakh (Ex-sh) for base Live PureTech 82 MT variant and goes till Rs 9.42 lakh (Ex-sh) for top-spec Shine Turbo DT + Vibe.
