Porsche has announced a new logo to celebrate its 75th anniversary, with a revised design and minor color changes. The next-generation 2023 Porsche Panamera will be the first to sport a slightly simplified three-sided badge.

Porsche says new logo it is designed to be “instantly recognizable” while bridging the gap between the brand’s history and the future. The new logo appears to have a “larger silhouette” than the current logo which was created in 2014 as an evolution of the logo that Porsche has used since 1952.

The colors used have also been subtly changed over the old logo, with the gold color being given a darker hue. The font has also been updated with a simpler typeface and lighter font.

Porsche says this makes it look “more modern but still has a traditional touch”. A similar approach is taken to the horns (which are taken from the coat of arms of Stuttgart).

Additionally, the red band now has a honeycomb design to symbolize the lightweight construction of the Porsche sports car. Of course with different shades of red to give a 3D effect to the hexagonal shape.
