I have Airtel provided landline basic phone set, planning to change it with some good phone set, to attend some business calls from home.
Should have good speaker and muting option.

Suggest me some good phone set.

Re: Fixed line - Phone set

You can look at other telephone set options from Beetel. There are good phones from Siemens and Cisco too, but they are expensive.

How about cordless sets from Panasonic? Also have a look at the sets suggested by Thetraveller.

Airtel provides Beetel phone, and that is not good at-all. I did check their website, and looks all are just ok type, but price is pretty less.

Panasonic looks to be better one. I will check in some electronic store here.

Panasonic indeed makes good phone. I would suggest have a discussion with Airtel call centre and ask them to change the current phone to cordless (assuming current one is with cord). I am sure they will be able to replace it and might charge very less. Else Panasonic, cordless phones are good and they are reasonable priced.

I have Panasonic KX-TGA351BX at my place. It has an option of attaching hands free headset a must have if long running business calls are to be answered.

Re: Cordless phone?

There are several brands and different types of phones available so what do you really are looking for.
I am using panasonic handset with a base handset attatched with bsnl line and handset being a cordless along with other two handsets so a set of three cordless.Another two only needs power outlet to charge with battery drains no wiring or anything.
It has an answering machine with messages storage upto 20 msgs.
Panasonic, Beetel,GE are the most selling brands.
