Bollinger, an EV startup based in Michigan, is expanding its rugged-looking vehicles with an all-electric Class 3 commercial truck platform, the B2 Chassis Cab. Built with a chassis which is intended to be customized for specific use, the classification puts it in line with other trucks such as box trucks and heavy-duty pickups.
The B2 Chassis Cab will be built on the same e-chassis on which the B1 and B2, the company’s forthcoming SUV and pickup, respectively, will ride on. It's available in a two- or four-door setup and with various wheelbase lengths to house the 120.0-kWh battery. Similar to the other vehicles Bollinger has unveiled, the B2 Chassis Cab will have all-wheel drive and a payload of 5000 pounds. It'll also have the unique pass-through from the cabin to the frunk to accommodate particularly long items that's also seen in the other Bollinger trucks.
