BMW Shuts Down Production of M6

Damn, Everything was going alright until now but suddenly I came across this news on Autocar, which reports that BMW has ceased the production of M6. If there was any sports car from BMW which I preferred most, then it was the M6. In fact, I spotted a nice blue colored 6-series a day before. I say, those people are extremely fortunate who own one; same saying goes with the outgoing generation 5-Series owners too. According to what the speculations suggest, this has been done because the all new 6-Series is due for the launch shortly, but I’m keeping fingers crossed after having a look at new 5-Series. Which way actually BMW is moving towards? At least not to my like.

The previous 5 and this 6 were the best looking BMWs.
I just hope and pray that they dont spoil the 6 series like they did to the 5 series.

Oh this is sad news! Hope they atleast bring out a new better designed 6-series unlike the new 5-series!

BMW has come out with a new way of creating interest for its upcoming 6-series mule, unofficially launching a new blog of which it is not clear that is actually a BMW blog. The blog is laden with good number of camouflaged 6-series model images and a video speaking little about the final details of the car. BMW states on this new website, “"Obviously, this is more than a 6 Series. But the car is not yet in its final stage."

Although the website does not say anything about being owned by BMW, the fine print in the legal disclaimer section spills the beans, ““BMW Group appreciates your interest in its products and your visit to this website.” Hence, the new blog is actually a new viral marketing campaign from the German auto maker to raise interest in its latest model coming up for the Paris Auto Show. At first glance, the focus of the campaign is a current generation BMW 6 Series prototype, although this is not merely a precursor for the new model – it seems BMW is working on an all-new technology.

There are no front views of the car but only the side views at an angle that do not reveal much details about the car. However, the blog itself reveals that the model on display is identical to BMW Vision Efficient Dynamics that will hit the international market by 2013.

Nah i liked the current 6-series even more! What is that strip of LED'S below the headlamp? From the spied car i guess its the indicator or is it daytime LED'S.

I'm also not impressed! though everything is looking excellent like fit and finish but front looks are worst. it is giving impression that 6 series just saw some horror moview. LoL!
