Maruti Swift, Maruti Gypsy, Mitsubishi Lancer (Cedia included) and Skoda Octavia receive my vote. I would like prefer Honda Civic as well which is not present in this poll. Here's a nice example of Modified Swift. This was showcased at Auto Expo 2010.

@ilango, yeah, performance mods only but which one have you chosen?? and what the weight has to do with performance mods? I've seen many hatches like swift defeating sedans in races and the reason is nothing but their LIGHT WEIGHT which results in quick pickup!

For performance modification , we must be carefull. Making a car so light is not so advisable.!
