Old versus new. Pirelli Sports Demon and Michelin Pilot Street. Both 110/70-17. PSD was still grippy and good for another 2-3k km.

Michelin is way heavier than Pirelli.

Initial review is it's damn heavy but awesome grip. Corners as if there is some track laid for us.

Final look of steel braid.

In the interim, fork got overhauled after being screwed by a roadside mech. Also rear brake bite was less, all the shops were giving RX series brake liner for FZ, which will wear out soon and not at all efficient like stock. Rear brake overhaul was also done outside at SVC. Both jobs done at Essco Yamaha. Had to change fork cap bolt, which was also screwed by the roadside mech.

Bill amount:
Parts:
Brake Shoe Set - 296
Fork Oil Seal (one side) - 180
Fork Oil (1 liter) - 740
Fork Bolt Cap x2 - 198

Labor:
Fork Overhaul - 240 + tax
Brake Shoe Replacement - 100 + tax

Turnaround time was good. Gave at 9 AM, got back by 12 PM.

Are you satisfied with the Michelins? AFAIK the michelin is more of a tourer tyre than the Pirelli.

:offtopic:
Are you the guy who owns the Facebook group called FZ owners india???

Pirelli Sports Demon also kind of touring tyre in that regard . More satisfied with Michelin than Pirelli. Actually made a friend running on Pirelli in his Ninja buy this one and another guy with CBR and finally one with FZ and only after their review I bought them. They all going gaga when talking about Pilot Street [evil]

Regarding OT, I am one of the coowner/admin of that group. Again [evil]

Most Michelin users are confused with this Pilot Street and Pilot Sporty. Might be the reason.
Ha ha. I guess guys who go around swapping their OEMs for Pirellis and Michelins know their stuff. Anyways, I shall be more specific next time when someone quotes me Pirelli v/s Michelins.

Most common in FZ group "Why you paid 5-6k for it, I paid only 3.5k, think you are cheated" [frustration] [roll]. 90% people are ignorant about tyre models, all they know is MRF, Michlein, ContiGO! "Wide tyres." (again) [frustration]

Bought new rear tyres, but didn't install. Current one got some life left in it, but started spinning and fishtailing in rain.

It's a Michelin.

It's Radial.

It's 140/70

2014-10-12 12-33-03.JPG

and it's imported.

2014-10-12 12-33-44.JPG

and it's the Michelin Pilot Street. H-rated and sticky. Costs 5500 bucks, MRP 5800

How it looks from behind.

Attention to detail. The direction of rotation.

After changing the front to Pilot Street, fell in love with it. Two days back cornered out in rain at 70-80, it stayed rock steady, still I could feel the rear end fish tailing with the MRF Revz-C.
