thanku thanku

Nothing other than the exhaust. Only little bit electrical and cosmetic mods.

Term is??

RC stuff are pretty unreliable. 95% failure rate guaranteed. Motozone is better, but costlier, but he knows that he is doing. But as always I would recommend bigger bike than investing lot to extra power out of FZ. It will cost 15-25k for big bore, carb, high lift cam, exhaust and CDI depending on what all you choose.

I also get slight vibes at around 4000 rpm in all the gears. cant maintain 4k because of the vibes have to be either above that or below that.
Any ideas on why? servicing is done regularly.

After some gap visited SVC. Did a front brake overhaul, engine decarb and valve clearance. and poured Yamalube mineral oil after a long time. Can't wait to switch back to Motul. Back to Muthoot after Essco closed down.

Parts cost:
Yamahalube 4T 20W40 SL 90793AD40300 340.00
Front Disk Dust Cover 5USW00530000 18.00
Front Disk Isolator 5USW00680000 22.00
Master Cylinder Repair Kit 5USW00410000 190.00
Valve Stem Seal 21CE21190000 44.00
Cylinder Head Gasket 54BE11810000 40.00

Labor:
Paid Service + Wash - 300.00
Brake Overhaul - 120.00
Engine Decarb - 300.00
Valve Seating - 250.00
Service Material - 120.00

Had an 800 km trip and fared well and on ghats Barricade was the king. Michelins and corner-ability made it better cornering machine than Duke. Grip offered was unmatched. It held well even on gravel without any sign of skidding or fishtail.

On the way back, speedo sensor went kaput and lost some 300 km of odo reading [frustration]

Bought new sensor. 670 bucks.

And an oil filter. 40 bucks.

Made by Pricol. There are ones in Pricol packing that comes at 150 bucks, but never worked with FZ.

COmpared to old one. Too much play in old one, resulting in vague readings.

Chain slack adjustment, for Rakesh

Loosen the axle.

2015-05-02 10-47-01.jpg

Chain tension adjuster. Inner one is for adjusting, outer one is locking nut to keep it in position.

2015-05-02 10-47-29.jpg

Loosen the locking nut. Tightening the adjustment nut will tighten the chain and vice versa. Make sure to adjust equally on both sides.

2015-05-02 10-48-17.jpg

Check for chain slack. There should be 1 cm free play from resting position of chain. Rotate the wheel and find the tightest position and check slack there.

2015-05-02 10-49-57.jpg

Tighten the axle and then tighten the locking nut. Use 2 spanners, one to hold the adjusting nut and one to tighten the locking nut.

Could not take more ilustrating pics as hands were too dirty.

Oops resized pics too small [confused]

Wow. Wish you many more happy miles with Barricade. I too have an FZ16 with 50000 kms on the odo purchased in 2009 (Lava Red). As you frequently go for long rides, why don't you try the cool mesh seat cover from Yamaha. I have one since 2010 and trust me it does wonders. I don't feel the pain much and during summer the seat cover doesn't get heat up even after standing in scorching heat for hours.

Had plans to install them, but since I prefer aesthetics than purpose, never bought one [evil] Now every tom, dick and sasi got them [frustration]

Bosch Silver Light. Saw at Bosch. Bought a pair to try. Not much whiter. 400 Rs a pair. Was also available in 100/90 variant. There was another model, White Light, which was much whiter, but was only available as 100/90 at that time.

Bought 2 pairs of Philips Blue Vision W5W. Fed up with poor quality LEDs. 115/pair

Hey deville_56. The bike looks as good as new even after munching up 90k kms.

How are the W5W bulbs in intensity and durability? Are they still going strong? And did you buy them online (any links?) or from your place? I am fed up with changing these bulbs and thinking of getting these bulbs. Hope they would work equally well in cars.

Only recently installed on FZ, been using for some time in Duke. Always on when running, didn't conk off yet. Intensity is more than normal cheaper W5W, but nowhere near LED.

Bought it locally. Should be available online. Never checked.
