Hello fellow enthusiasts,
In 2022 August, life felt boring with my 2017 FZ25. So like any enthusiast, decide to look for a new one. Since I'm a tall (6ft 3in) and a heavy person (110 kgs) comfort was main priority followed by a good pillion seating. Almost bought an RE but backed out due to it's reliability and under equipped service center (in mysore). Most of the bikes at that time either lacked rider comfort or pillion comfort. Then Bajaj announced F250 Dual channel ABS which was only available in black (single channel has 3 different colors). Test drove it and fell in love with this bike immediately and bought it. Popular Bajaj in Mysore ensure I get my bike quickly and took care of all my other requirements (RTO related).
Bike weighs 169kg (dry) and has a tank capacity of 14liters out of which 3.2lts is reserve. Front Suspension is 37mm Telescopic and rear is Mono shock. Dual channel ABS is coupled with 300mm front disc and 230mm rear disk.
F250 has a 249cc SOHC-2V engine developed through Bajaj-KTM team which produced 24.1bhp @8750rpm and 21.5nm torque @6500, has a 5 speed gearbox coupled with slipper clutch. The exhaust noise is just top notch for a single cylinder. Engine is butter smooth, anyone owning pervious gen pulsar would definitely comment on this improvement from Bajaj. Based on my experience, it's better to keep the bike at 4500 - 6000 rpm range for better FE and optimal performance.
Continuing Bajaj's legacy of very good headlights, F250's is superbly designed and fitted. Low beam and high beam are perfectly setup and excellently lit up the road hand's down one of the best Bi-Functional LED projector headlamp in market (as on 2022).
Bajaj-KTM's influence is visible in parts quality and finishing details. Seats, switch gear, mirror all feels premium and high quality for the price.
Rider's POV
Instrument console has the following info :
Coming to main topic, THE FUEL EFFICIENCY ....
Tracked distance : 13,437kms
Avg FE : 35.2 kmpl
Avg Price/km : 2.879 INR
Total service cost : 6071 INR (4 services)
Now focusing on negatives, main one would be the tyre's..... the MRF zappers. Front feels light at low speed and during in rain it many be in rider's interest not to push the limits with stock tyre's. Things may improve after switching to MRF masseter or Michelin or timsun tyre's but only time will tell.
