Availability of BS IV Fuel Across India

Need to know which pumps have bs4 grade diesel available in the state.
My car is a scorpio bs4 and the tank capacity of 60L.
Hypothetically i can have a range of 720km once i do a full tank in the metros.
Our native place is about 450kms from mumbai along the mum-goa highway.

Read somewhere that bs3 diesels can damage the catalytic converter of the car.

Now considering the range and the total distance covered i need to cover to get to my native place and back which filling stations should i avoid and which ones should i prefer in my journey?

P.S i am unaware what grade diesel is available in the state and google did not help me in my query.

The most important question is do i need to worry about the diesel?

Superbad , extremely sorry to be late here.

High sulfer content of nonBS4 diesel can lead to clogging of microducts of catalytic converter leading to reduction in its lifespan.There is no immediate damage.


Single trip to goa will not lead to significant reduction in the lifespan of the catalytic converter.Next time ,however if you do not want to pollute the environment even in small proportion with high sulfer content of non bs4 diesel, you can carry extra BS4 diesel in a separate can: as there is no BS4 fuel station on your route.

fuel stations only in pune and Mumbai cities are supplied with BS4 diesel across Maharashtra.

How can a fellow TAI an owned 'ritz D' clear you r dobt?[thinking]

I was fearing to any immediate Adverse effect due to filling of bs3 fuel.
So far two tank fills were done for the two times i have been on route to Goa.

SO the immediate question I have now is, In India which all states and respective cities have BS4 fuel available.

@Dharmesh, above mentioned cities are getting Bs4 fuel since april 2010.
7 more cities have been add ed to the list in 2012 are as follows.
Vapi,
Jamnagar,
Ankaleshwar all threefrom Gujarat
Hissar, (Hariyana)
Bharatpur (Rajasthan)&
Puducherry

In 2015, govt.is planning to add 30 more cities in the Bs4 availability list.

As per list Hyderabad all fuel stations are selling BS4 diesel or only few ??

Gurrala, All stations in hydrabad must be supplied with BS4 fuel by oil co. by law since April 2010.

In 2015, govt.is planning to add 30 more cities in the Bs4 availability list.

my question was specific since i will be touriong the interstate mostly.

but i think there should be no harm to update it for india for general info.

request to mods to do the necessary when the update for full country is available

Hahahahhahaha, Tornado, don't worry. Secunderabad is part of Hyderabad. It is something like Old Delhi and New Delhi. Though they are called "twin cities", but overall it is Hyderabad.
