Tyre(s) and Alloys are also an important part of any car. They play a major role in the ride quality of the car apart from providing the much required aesthetic appeal. The new VW Jetta comes fitted with 205/55/R16 spec Good Year Tyre(s) and alloys. The 5 spoke design of these alloys provide the sporty feel to the car. With the Tyre(s) another significant aspect of the car's ride quality is the suspension, the new VW Jetta has Coil spring with shock absorbers and suspension stabilizer in the front and Multi Link Suspension in the rear also is equipped with stabilizer.

Coming to the heart of the car i.e the Engine and the transmission that drives it. The new VW Jetta has been launched with 2 engine choices i.e 1.4 L Petrol and the 2.0 L Diesel TDI. The transmission choices offered by VW in this new Jetta are 6 Speed Manual and 6 Speed Automatic DSG for fast and super smooth gear changes. The sporty gear-knob on the other other hand does give a stylish look to the gear console that is accented with chrome surround.

The new Jetta comes with a multi functional steering wheel that houses the audio controls and also the Cruise Control apart from the obvious driver side airbag. The host of controls on the steering shall let the driver control music, radio etc by click of a button itself without removing the hands from the steering. On the other hand the Cruise Control Feature regulates the driving speed electronically and helps the driver to enjoy driving rather than developing fatigue. It ensures that the car is driven smoothly at a fixed/set speed.

Safety is always of prime concern both for the manufacturer and the buyer. Hence, VW has made it a point to provide 6 Airbags as standard along with significant features like ABS, ESP, Hill Hold Control and EDL. This extensive safety program in the new Jetta surely shall provide utmost safety to the drivers and co-passengers.

Talking about the Multi-Info Display unit in new Jetta, the entertainment panel is integrated with 6 CD changer and a simple interactive interface. It also has features like Aux. To have the superb acoustic feel in the car, the Jetta comes with 8 speakers.

If I talk about the Speedometer cluster in the new Jetta then it has 2-dial cluster with MID. The redesigned speedometer cluster definitely gives the interiors that sporty aura.

Further talking on the interiors of the new VW Jetta, The interiors look refined and VW has made an effort towards keeping things simple yet elegant. The overall feel of the cabin is really rich and the fabrics used in the seats is really good with perfect stitching. The Beige and Black interior combo will surely be liked by the buyers and the piano Black finish on steering and the wooden inserts do provide the sense of driving a premium sedan.

Such a Crisp, Clean and good set of pictures and review Akash 1886. Volkswagen Jetta is already a no nonsense and a reliable and comfortable vehicle. And Volkswagen has upped the game with this facelift. The designers has worked on it so subtly that it's very likeable at the moment and it's a great thing that they have not touched with the mechanicals as Jetta's under pinnings are fantastic. Wished that VW would have given a more updated music system just like the Octy. Though this will and might be one of the last facelifts for the Jetta before the MQB one arrives.

Hello guys,
I'm planning of purchasing a Volkswagen Jetta soon in the near future but I have a small query. First it's great to see that Volkswagen has given great attention to safety and all the 3 variants come with standard safety equipment. So after checking it out, I have planned to check out the Comfortline variant and yes, the HU is not as great as the Highline one. But what's of a real shocker is that the Comfortline gets only two speakers and two tweeters at front and that's something of too much of skimping for a 20 Lakh car. Is this true. Should we need to go for an extra set of speakers for the rear doors. Volkswagen Jetta Comfortline owners, please help me on this query. Secondly how are the stock headlights? Are they good enough? Please help me out on this also. I'm a person who doesn't tinker my car much with aftermarket goodies so your help will be valuable.

Yes, the new Comfortline version only has 2 speakers while the pre face lifted one had 6 speakers. Also the HU is different in current one compared to the earlier one.

So, only option left is to add speakers.

Regarding headlamps, they are good for most of the part but the high beams are slightly weaker and require upgrading. At low speeds there is no problem, but at high speeds, you'll feel the need to have better light spread.

And BTW, are you looking at Petrol or diesel one ?

If you are willing to consider higher segment, wait for Innova 2016. It is stunning with plethora of features and costs less, and Toyota is not reeling under heavy fines or bad brand image (yet :-)) so you can be assured of the continuance of the company!

Thanks for your instant reply buddy. I'm going in for the diesel version. Yes, The current HU in the Comfortline is taken from the Polo/Vento. So I will be needing to go in for a good set of speakers if I go for the Comfortline variant. Will check it out and do a good study before making up my mind.

Next gen Innova is no doubt a great car buddy but I'm more of a sedan guy. So I'm consider I'm the Jetta as my next ride. If its another vehicle that my family is considering out of the executive car segment, it's the Creta which they are looking for.
